Hey people! I’m Sully!
I’m so ready for my furever family so I guess you need to know a bit about me!
First of all, I love other doggies! Unless they are coming in hot. But who likes that ever, really? I'm a superfan of my foster brother because he shows me what a good boy does in most situations. 🐾
I met the neighbour's kitty 😼 once and thought it was kinda weird. It rubbed itself on me and when I googled it later it said that cats do that to “mark their territory”. Like I said, kinda weird, but ok. Everyone knows that you p*e on stuff to mark your territory, duh.
Speaking of p*eing, I only do that outside. I’m learning my foster mom will let me out if I sit by the door. I have to be honest, I have had a couple of accidents in the house at the start of my stay in Kelowna. Full disclosure, I am frightened by men, and before my amazing fosters knew that, the gentleman of the house who is not me, startled me and I p*ed a little. As soon as they realized I was fearful they took measures to help me learn that everyone in the home means no harm.
So, that kind of leads to a few things I am working on. Little humans freak me out. They are loud and darty and I never know what they are going to do. I have never been aggressive, but I’m scared and don’t know what to do around them. Males are also scary to me. When they are in the house, it is very hard for me to relax and settle and I usually go hide somewhere to feel safe. I don’t like to talk about my past, but I think it probably has something to do with my fears. When getting pets, I prefer being stroked under the chin first before touching other parts of my body.
Kennel time. I don’t mind it so much when my foster family is in the house with me and I sleep like a baby in it overnight. But when they put me in my kennel when they have to leave the house I get really upset. My foster mom thinks I would be ok if she left me loose in the house with my foster brother when she leaves, but hasn’t tried it yet.
OK, now on to the AWESOME things about me!😍
I LOVE walks, and my foster mom says I’m quite the little gentleman on the leash, unless my foster brother is ahead of me, then I can’t help but pull a little. I’m just trying to keep up! She also says she can take me anywhere and I am a good boy! Coffee shops, patios, adventures, elevators - I’m game for all of that!
Also, food. BIG FAN! Apparently my foster mom suggests not free freeding me - she’s right about a lot of things, but I am going to disagree with her on this one. I say, put out a big bowl of food and just fill that baby up when I empty it. Also four words: Blue. Buffalo. Salmon. Bites. I will spin like a tornado for anything food related.
Couch, bed, laps. These are a few of my favourite things. My foster mom calls me her shadow, she’s awesome and I want to be with her ALL THE TIME. When I come out of my kennel in the morning, she gives me her undivided attention and gives me the BEST CUDDLES.
My foster mom also says that I am a very smart and curious boy. I just need some confidence, so a home with another calm, confident pup might be a very good fit for me.
So if you are a lady, who likes a bit of adventure, but also has a warm lap and unlimited salmon bites, shoot my friends at PIFDR an application!
