2011 KTM 300 xc-w

This one has the good old egged out Bendix bushing holes, both sides.
Both were drilled out slightly oversize to fit sleeves and bushings made in my shop. The flywheel teeth were dressed up a but nicer and with some shims, rebuilt starter.. The starting system is working beautifully!

Back in action 🔥 💪 this one's a bit of a flex!! As I have encountered several bikes that were not fixable this season...

All have been easily been taken care of 👌

1984 Honda XL 250R.

This came in due to poor mid-top power loss. Basically fell flat on its face. Customer stated that another shop said that the linkage for the carbs was worn out. The carb was supposed to have been cleaned as well. If you have had any experience with these dual carb systems you know there are a few common problems.

Generally from my experience, it's the intake manifold rubber cracked and leaking. This one was not. It was several other adjustments totally out of wack.

1-exhaust valves were way too tight
2-decompression system was not even working due to the cable was too loose, and not doing anything.
3-the carb was not properly cleaned at all
4-primary carb was jetted way too lean
5-carb sync (timing) was WAY out..

So after addressing these issues.. This bike actually runs amazing! And pulls through the whole range of throttle like mad. I was honestly shocked at how well it ran and the power this old gem still had. 💪.
