Carb cleaning, flush the water out of the crackcase, rug up some rads, fresh fuel and she fired right up. Tune it, first kick 💪

What a month! Both trucks down!

I feel like it's time to give back.

My duramax was pulled for inspection.. It's basically ready to go pass. 1more small issue to fix.

I was lucky enough to of had a friend with a spare truck that was here for storage. I was able to borrow his truck, thank you sir 🙏. Right off the bat the wheel bearing and front axle needed to be done right away. That was 2 weeks ago. Tonight i have it jacked up to pull the rear diff cover now it's ready to blow apart pretty sure there's some broken gears in there.

Anyhow the reason for this post is it just kind of hit me you know if I wasn't able to do all this work myself I would be totally different situation right now I'd be screwed! so I'm thinking there's got to be people out there that are in this kind of situation with a vehicle or two that are down and and can't afford to fix them or take them to a shop. so I was thinking if I could help somebody that's down and out like seriously down and out and my helping them would make their lives easier I may be able to help ya. Honestly I would happy to help, give me a shout reach out if I can help you in some way get you back up and your life going in a better Direction because your vehicle's back on the road, that let me know because I couldn't imagine if I wasn't able to do all this myself or was able to borrow a truck, I would be in a totally different situation right now, and not in a good way. I'd be screwed.

Obviously.. within reason, let me know, ya never know. I can't do it all. But I can definitely do allot.

Another great result out of the Teknik workshop. 👌

Peter came to us wanting to improve the suspension on his Harley, and the end result speaks for itself:

“The guys at Teknik are absolutely brilliant. They think outside the box, got my Harley suspension working like never before. One thousand percent improvement. Thank you guys.”

This one took a little more digging than usual.

After speaking with Mick Withers from Heavy Duty Magazine, we identified that Peter’s Harley was running the extremely short travel setup found on some of the 883 and 1200 Low models.

One of the advantages of being in the suspension industry for as long as we have is the network and knowledge base we have built around us.

When something unusual comes through the workshop, we are not limited to what we know in-house. We have access to some of the best suspension knowledge and experience in the country, as well as contacts and technical resources from around the world.

Sometimes getting the right result means knowing exactly who to call.

From there, we worked through the options and installed an Andreani cartridge kit, transforming the front suspension with:

✅ Fork travel increased from approximately 80mm to 130mm
✅ Progressive 0.44 to 0.60kg/mm springs replaced with an appropriate 0.80kg/mm spring rate
✅ Proper damping where there was effectively very little before
✅ External spring preload adjustment
✅ Compression adjustment
✅ Rebound adjustment

The result is a completely different motorcycle to ride.

This is why suspension setup is about much more than simply fitting parts. The right spring rates, damping, travel and setup all need to work together for the rider and the bike.

Slowly but surely I have been setting up something decent to work out of! 😁
Lots of ROOM 😀. once this is set up, it's going to be pretty sweet! Can't wait.

1975 Yamaha xs650

Way to go Yamaha.. Looks like Il either have to unbolt engine to roll it back for more clearance to remove the valve cover... Or double nut the studs out..
I soaked the studs over night... Just in case.
