Another 1972 mgb on its way to a new home. I always liked the 1972 mgb model year. It was the last of the full chrome bumpers . Later years had a rubber bumperette or a complete rubber bumper to meet North American standards as well as a higher ride height. Twin SU carbs and very few emission controls. Overdrive and wire spoke wheels were also an option I was fortunate enough to own a couple of these over the years and they hold a special place in my heart. We wish the new owner well with his new acquisition. Thank you for using our services. Take care, be kind. Doug and Sisu

A very snug " Muskoka Tickle " on a Caravan that was stuck in a driveway ditch at the edge of a culvert. There was not enough room to winch from the sideroad or from the front of the Dodge. We had to back in beside the casualty as far as room allowed and then rig to the right front control arm , from there to a Balsam tree and back to the side puller on the rear of the Hino deck. I'm not too fussy on using small Balsam trees for an anchor or redirect. Their root ball is weak and this was a small tree, however you use what you've got. We used wood blocks for a ramp under the left rear tire to enable the lift and the pull angle worked out ok and the rear bumper cover was not damaged. It is all scientific when the job goes well is what I tell our customers and no damage is what towers are aiming for. Take care, be kind and enjoy the fall colours. Doug and Sisu

Coming back from a call in Algonquin Park the other day. Colours are probably at their peak now. There are about 1200 campsites in the various camp grounds along the hwy 60 corridor. I would hazard a guess most will be occupied on the weekends. Signs were up saying day passes were sold out for the coming few days, but you can still take a drive out through the park on hwy 60 towards Barry's Bay and enjoy the colour . So grateful we get to work in this Park and surrounding area. If you are fortunate enough to be camping there this fall, please take a minute to say thank you to the park staff and maintenance crews that make your stay possible. Take care, be kind. Doug, Sue and Sisu

Sisu reminded me to post a thanks to Dan at Muskoka Equipment Services for lending a helping hand to retorque my wheels on my Hino. We were both fueling up at the end of what I think was a long day for both of us. I mentioned that I had to retorque my wheels and my back was having none of this. ( Just wait to you all get older, and then you can relate, especially if you are in the automotive trade) Dan offered to do them for me, right there and then and would not take anything for his help. Much appreciated and thank you and I will try to pay it forward. If you are in need of his services , I would highly recommend his company. Take care, be kind. Doug and Sisu

You can always tell that it is the fall or spring season in Muskoka. Those seasons for whatever reason bring out the calls to move or transport classic vehicles and this fall is no exception for us. This time it is a 1963 Chev pickup truck that is headed into the shop for a refurbish and be put back on the road. Hopefully she will be back on Muskoka roads again . Thank you for using our services. Take care, be kind. Doug and Sisu

Over 400,000 Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) vehicles were produced over the years during WW2 by Ford, Chevrolet, and Chrysler. The big guy and little one that we transported for a client are two survivors of this period. Both probably have lots of stories to tell. The smaller one was said to have been driven up from the Windsor area to Muskoka when it first arrived here. That would have been a long slow trip. The 3/4 ton Chev had a comfortable cruising speed of just over 40mph. The inward slanted windshields were designed to reduce glare and the sun's reflection towards the ground rather than up into the sky possibly exposing the trucks position to the enemy, a form of passive camouflage. By the end of the war, there had been one truck built for every three soldiers fighting. Thank you for using our services again. Take care , be kind. Doug and Sisu

Way back in the 1980s we did the king pins on this FL1 Fargo 2wd truck at the start of this restoration. This has been a labor of love through all the years and it shows. The owner put a great deal of care and effort into every piece that he restored, culminating in the result that you see in these pics. What a beautiful job. It is going to go in for it's safety inspection and hopefully will be on the roads here in Muskoka enjoying the fall colours. Take care, be kind. Doug and Sue
