📢 FUEL RATE UPDATE – EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2026

Beginning October 1, the Government of Alberta is temporarily suspending the provincial fuel tax on gasoline and diesel for everyone across Alberta.

For our Status Card customers, this means the provincial fuel tax savings you normally receive through the Status Card Fuel Rate will already be reflected in the fuel price for everyone.

Because there will be no provincial fuel tax being charged during this period, there will temporarily be no additional Status Card fuel tax reduction at the register.

✅ You will still receive the provincial fuel tax savings.
✅ Your Status Card remains valid.
✅ The Status Card (AITE) program has NOT been cancelled.
✅ This is a temporary change resulting from the Government of Alberta’s Fuel Tax Relief Program.

Fas Gas is required to follow the Province of Alberta’s fuel tax requirements.

The Province has advised that the fuel tax suspension will remain in place until at least December 31, 2026, with January 1, 2027 being the earliest date collection could begin again.
