Most people think Chain Lake Drive ends at Scotiabank Theatre. It doesn't. Keep with the curve.

Walk-ins and day drop-offs welcome. Call 902-876-1576.

Cold mornings are hard on batteries. At -18°C, a battery can lose about 60% of its strength.

Watch for a slow start, dim headlights, or a battery more than 3 years old.

Not sure about yours? We'll test it and give you a printed report. Call 902 876 1576.

Most all-season tires aren't winter tires. Once it drops below 7°C, their rubber starts to harden and grip drops.

Check your sidewall for the mountain-snowflake symbol. M+S on its own isn't enough.

For Nova Scotia winters, dedicated winter tires are still the gold standard. Ready to switch? Call 902 876 1576

Shout out to our Gabe!

Natalie and her family stopped in during their trip to Halifax needing some air in a tire, and Gabe took care of them. It's a small thing, but it's the kind of help we want every customer to get, whether you're in for a quick top-up or a full service.

Thanks for the kind words, Natalie, and thanks, Gabe, for representing the team the right way.

Meet Jim Rogers, our new manager.

Jim got his start in 1980. He was 16, and his first job was sweeping the shop floor. Over 40 years later, he's fixed more cars than he could count and successfully ran shops from Mississauga to Sackville, Bayers Lake and Lady Hammond Road.

A while back he stepped away from the garage, but when we asked him to come back where he truly belongs and run Timberlea Tire by GOAT Automotive, he said yes!

When I asked Jim for this post and what he wants to achieve at GOAT Automotive & Timberlea Tire, his words were: "When you come to our shop, I want it to be an experience no other shop in HRM can give you. We will absolutely be the best in the business."

He's got over 40 years behind him to back it up.

If you know Jim, come by and say hi. If you don't yet, you will.
