A new client reached out with a locked ignition cylinder, something we see quite often.

With frequent use, key grooves can wear down over time, preventing the wafers inside the cylinder from engaging properly. In more severe cases, those wafers can seize entirely, leaving the ignition stuck and unable to turn.

SERPENTINE SYSTEM FAILURE ⚙️❄️

Seymour Electric Inc. called us out mid-winter for a worn A/C pulley causing a loud racket at idle and even worse under load.

Some may not realize it, but the serpentine belt system is a critical part of your vehicle. It drives your alternator charging your battery and your power steering pump to give you smooth steering assist.

If a pulley or bearing fails, it can take the belt out leaving you without charging or steering assist in an instant or in worse cases, take out a bunch of components in the area as the belt swings around

These components spin at high RPM constantly… when they go, they go fast.

Needless to say a small noise can turn into a big breakdown.
