Meet Erin Paterson, a proud member of Team NL Bocce heading to the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Medicine Hat! 💙❤️

One of Erin's proudest accomplishments was earning a gold medal in bocce at the 2025 Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games in Gander. Her hard work and dedication have earned her a spot on Team NL, and she's excited to compete on the national stage.

A heartfelt thank you to the Newfoundland Regiment Foundation for drafting Erin and supporting her journey to Medicine Hat!

Congratulations, Erin—we're cheering you on every step of the way!

We love where we work, and we love where we live.

On Friday, Liam and Jason helped out a visitor from the Grates Cove RV Park, and then headed out on the water to get supper. It’s a beautiful time of year out here!

A reminder that we will be closed on Wednesday for Canada Day. We will reopen Thursday 9am.

It’s a beautiful morning in Grates Cove. The shop will be closed on Monday, June 22 as we try to scrounge some good weather up for a long weekend.

We’ll reopen Tuesday, June 23 for regular hours.

We’re closed today but we ended up in the shop anyways. These Tasmanian tourists had just finished touring Grates Cove and were on their way back to town when the Grates Road claimed another tire. Thankfully they were picked up by other tourists (from New York!) and found their way to our garage.

We hope Mick and Jenn have a great few weeks in Newfoundland!

(And yes we’ve also emailed for someone to come out and fix the road- we lost a tire just a couple weeks ago!)
