Most of my clients are aware that I have been dealing with a blown out knee for almost a year at this point. The last week of August, I have to undergo another surgery to try and repair the damage to the knee.

This means that I will have to temporarily close down (again) for 4-6 weeks so that I can hopefully permanently recover from surgery.

I will do my best to get everyone looked after during the remaining 2 weeks I have left, but unfortunately may not be able to take on a lot of new work at this time. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience but hope to be back at it as soon as possible and with any luck this time....less of a limp!

Just as a reminder to all the drivers out there…. I had a flat tire in my work truck on the side of the Henday this morning. Had blue/amber strobes running along with hazard lamps, pylons and triangles deployed. Still had numerous cars, trucks and even a driving instructor come flying past me in the right lane beside the shoulder.

So for those drivers that slowed down and/or moved over, you got a wave and a smile as my son and I worked to get off the side of the road. For those that didn’t move over AND didn’t slow down, you got the arm wave, sometimes the middle finger and yelled at.

Give your head a shake, understand that not moving over or slowing down is what kills people that have no other option but to work roadside.

I wish I was able to get the name of the driving school that didn’t obey the slow down and move over law, he would have been reported for sure.

Slow down, move over so those of us that work roadside get to go home at night!

As an update on an expected return to work date.....

I am recovering well from surgery in December and an expected return to work date is set for January 18, 2026 at this time. I will be starting with light duty work as I am restricted from lifting anything heavy at this time. I expect to perform very light duty for about a week, the light duty for the following week and then with any luck I'll be back to 90% by that point.

To all my valued clients:

As some of you may be aware, I was injured this past August and require surgery which is scheduled for the end of November. I will need 6 to 8 weeks to recover which lands in the middle of January or so.

I am doing my best to clear off the people that have contacted me and are waiting for their vehicle to be serviced and am pretty full until the end of this month.

Scott K Auto will be closed from November 28, 2025 to (approx) January 12, 2026.

I will have my phone on me and will answer when it’s possible.

I look forward to serving you and your vehicle needs in 2026 and beyond!
