Another race season comes to an end, it’s hard not to look back and appreciate just how many people it takes to make this happen.
We wrapped up our final weekend in Whitecourt with a 1st place finish in CX, securing the 2026 Canadian CX Championship and 2nd Overall in the Canadian Series. We’re incredibly proud of what this little team accomplished.
None of it happens without the people behind the scenes.
The Ingraham family – Thank you Mandy and maiya for sharing Nick with us all season. Travis and Nick spent countless hours pre-running rivers, testing, traveling, and racing together in both Canada and the U.S. The trust between a driver and navigator is something special, and Nick has been a huge part of everything Reaper accomplished this year. We couldn’t have asked for a better fam to join ours.
The Vallentgoed family – Every team needs a Matt. Our trusted mechanic, recognizable by the straw hat and those legendary shorts. You never have to ask Matt to do anything—he already sees what needs to be done and gets it handled. From keeping the boat together to helping us through some of the toughest moments of the World Marathon while Travis was battling health issues, you were absolutely invaluable. To the entire Vallenghood family, Matt, Carmen, Levi, Tucker and Nova, thank you for the weekends, holidays, and miles spent following Team Reaper. We appreciate everything your family gave to ours this season.
The Dombrova family – Wade, thank you for always jumping in wherever you were needed. Chase truck, fueling, wrenching, or simply being a solid friend, you were always there. Shauna, thank you for the meals, the hugs, hanging with the wives and kids and helping make race weekends feel like home. You two shuffled life to show up for us and it did not go unnoticed.
Every team needs great moms, and we’re lucky enough to have two.
Kelly (Mammie) flew in from New Brunswick twice this season to follow Reaper through both the U.S. and Canadian race circuits. She kept us fed, loved, and laughing, doing countless things behind the scenes to keep race weekends running smoothly. No matter the day, she always had a witty joke, a warm hug, and was cheering on not only Team Reaper, but every crew in the pits.
Laurie, thank you for making every Canadian Series race work. From watching over the boat to helping feed the crew and always jumping in wherever you were needed, your support never went unnoticed.
Larry, Thanks for putting a wrench in my hand from a young age and getting me hooked on racing. From the time I was a kid, you were the one who introduced me to racing. Whether it was behind the wheel, in the pits, or chasing the next race, you helped build the passion that’s carried me all these years. Crew trucking Peace River and following Team Reaper through the Canadian series, has helped get me here. Bringing home this championship is pretty special, but getting to make you proud means even more. Thanks for always being in my corner.
To our family and friends who showed up weekend after weekend (near and far), cheered us on, and helped however they could—thank you. It means everything to be surrounded by the people who matter most. To all who came to races, stopped by the Show & Shines, followed along online, and cheered us on from near and far—thank you. Your support never goes unnoticed.
