Finlayson Tire Ltd Our roots go back to 1972, when James Finlayson began operating out of his home garage and at a small, two-bay shop while still working for General Motors.

In 1977 the current facility at 1200 Gilmore Rd was built to house Finlayson Tire and a muffler center. In 1982, another four bays were added to create a complete automotive repair facility outfitted with some of the latest, most up-to-date equipment. We are family owned and operated and will continue to serve our valued clients of greater Fort Erie. James has since moved toward retirement and his son Paul, a licenced technician himself, has been managing the facility for the past 44 years.

Looking for a skilled and experienced mechanic to join our team! We require a specialist in the position with a particular focus on electronics within the vehicle, and wiring. The ideal candidate should be able to diagnose and repair various automotive issues efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
- Inspect all systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering, air conditioning for any abnormalities or hazards.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair any issues with the vehicle.
- Perform necessary electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic repairs on various types of automotive equipment.
- Ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy before being returned to customers.

Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a mechanic role.
- Specialization in paint jobs, electronics within the vehicle, and wiring.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
$27-$35 per hour

Opportunity awaits you! We are looking for a qualified, motivated individual with experience in the automotive industry to join our family owned and operated automotive center.
Must have - Basic tools and experience working within the automotive industry
Some duties include but are not limited to:
-up to date knowledge of auto industry
-Changing, rotating, balancing tires
-Maintain clean work environment
-Assess problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
-Able to communicate with coworkers and customers
-Conduct intensive diagnostic procedures to identify a variety of vehicle issues

Valid Driver’s License is an asset. We are willing to teach the right candidate and provide friendly family like atmosphere. Monday to Saturday Schedule available. Pay starts above minimum wage and escalates with experience. BENEFITS available after three (3) months employment.
