Fun Fact Friday!

Modern cars are rolling supercomputers: A standard modern car relies on roughly 100 million lines of computer code to function. For comparison, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner commercial airplane only uses about 14 million lines of code.

The cheapest repair is the one you never have to make. 💡

Routine preventative maintenance is the secret to extending the life of your car, truck, or commercial vehicle by years. Waiting until something breaks down completely always costs more in towing fees, stress, and replacement parts.

Let our mechanics give your vehicle a quick health check: 🔧 Belts & Hoses: Inspecting for cracks and brittle rubber before they snap. 🔧 Battery Load Testing: Ensuring your starting system has enough juice. 🔧 Fluid Quality Check: Making sure your engine oil, brake fluid, and coolant aren't contaminated.

Take care of your machine, and it will take care of you. Book your next maintenance check-up with 4L Tire & Mechanics today! 👋

When was the last time you did a safety walkaround of your vehicle? It takes less than 5 minutes and can save you from a major breakdown—or worse. 🚗👀

Your Weekend Safety Checklist: 1️⃣ The Penny Test: Insert a penny into your tire tread. If you can see the top of Lincoln's head, your tread is dangerously low. (or learn how to read the wear bars on your tires! Pennies are hard to come by!) 2️⃣ Pressure Check: Check your tire pressure (including the spare!) when the tires are cold. 3️⃣ The Fluid Look: Check under your parking spot for fresh puddles (oil, brake fluid, or coolant leaks). 4️⃣ Light It Up: Turn on your hazard lights and walk around to ensure all headlights, taillights, and blinkers are working.

Notice anything unusual during your walkaround? Spotting a small mechanical leak or a cracking tire sidewall early is the best way to stay safe and save money.

Bring it into the shop and let our pros take a closer look! 🛠️

Fun Fact Friday!

The cruise control inventor couldn't drive: Industrial engineer Ralph Teetor invented modern cruise control in the 1940s. He was completely blind and got the idea because he noticed his lawyer, who was driving him around, kept slowing down while talking and speeding up while listening.

When you need to stop in an emergency, your safety relies on two critical components working together: your brakes and your tires. 🛑👇

You could have brand-new brakes, but if your tires are bald, you're going to slide. Conversely, premium tires won't save you if your brake pads are worn thin or your rotors are warped.

Signs your stopping power is compromised:

Squealing, grinding, or clicking noises when braking.

The vehicle pulls to one side when you slow down.

Your brake pedal feels "spongy" or soft.

Your tires are wearing unevenly or losing traction on wet roads.

Don't gamble with your stopping distance. Let our mechanics inspect your full braking system and tire tread health today.

📞 Call us or send a DM to book a Safety Brake & Tire Check!

Safety isn't just about stopping—it’s about staying in control. 🛞💨

Your vehicle’s suspension keeps your tires firmly planted on the asphalt. When shocks, struts, or tie rods wear out, your vehicle bounces and sways dangerously, especially at highway speeds or when hauling heavy loads.

The Hidden Danger: Bad suspension alignment actively destroys your tires, causing rapid, uneven wear that can lead to sudden blowouts.

Check your control: If your steering wheel shakes, your vehicle drifts, or you notice "cupping" (dents or scalloped dips) on your tire tread, your suspension is trying to tell you something.

Our team diagnoses the root mechanical cause and corrects your alignment to keep your ride stable and your tires safe. 🛠️
