Small part, big job!

Spark plugs create the spark that ignites the air-fuel mixture in your engine. When they wear out, you might notice rough idling, poor acceleration, reduced fuel efficiency, or engine misfires.

Replacing spark plugs at the recommended interval helps keep your engine running smoothly and prevents avoidable performance problems.

Is 100,000 miles too much for a car? What about 200,000?

High mileage doesn't automatically mean your vehicle is near the end of its life! A well-maintained car with 200,000 miles can sometimes be in better condition than a neglected car with half that mileage.

Maintenance history, driving habits, and overall vehicle condition matter more than the number on your odometer.

Not driving your car much? Your tires can still wear out!

Even when a vehicle sits unused, tire rubber naturally ages and can develop cracks, flat spots, or other damage over time.
Check your tires for visible cracks, low pressure, and signs of aging. Don't rely on tread depth alone, and follow your tire manufacturer's age recommendations.

What is a cooling system pressure test? 🌡️

Losing coolant but can't find a leak? A cooling system pressure test can help uncover the problem. During the test, a technician uses specialized equipment to pressurize the cooling system while the engine is off, helping reveal leaks that might not be visible during a regular inspection.

This test can help identify leaking hoses, radiator problems, faulty connections, or other cooling system issues. It's a useful way to investigate coolant loss before it leads to overheating or expensive engine repairs. If you're constantly topping off your coolant, it's time to find out where it's going!

When is it actually safe to wait on a car repair? 🔧

Not every repair needs to be done immediately, but knowing the difference can save you money and keep you safe. Problems affecting your brakes, steering, tires, or engine temperature often need urgent attention, while some minor issues can be monitored or scheduled for a later visit.

The key is understanding what's urgent, what's recommended, and what's routine maintenance. A good vehicle inspection helps you make those decisions based on the actual condition of your car, rather than guessing or putting everything off until something breaks.

Why does my car jerk when shifting? ⚙️

Your car should shift gears smoothly, so if you notice a sudden jerk, hesitation, or hard shift, it's worth paying attention to. Transmission fluid problems, worn components, or issues with transmission controls could be responsible. Sometimes, engine performance problems can even feel like transmission trouble.

A little hesitation might not seem like a big deal at first, but unusual shifting can be an early warning sign of a developing problem. Rather than guessing what's wrong, having the vehicle properly diagnosed can help determine the cause and prevent unnecessary repairs.
