Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference.

This Toyota Tundra came through the shop for some colour-matched trim work. We refinished the grille, fender flares and bumper components in satin white to give everything a cleaner, more cohesive look.

Once the paintwork was complete, the truck headed over to Tint Factory, where the entire vehicle, including our freshly painted parts, received satin PPF for protection and a consistent finish.

Not every custom job needs to be a complete overhaul. Sometimes a few well-chosen details are all it takes.

Not every car that comes through our doors needs the same paint job.

This Javelin came to us essentially ready for paint, with the bodywork and prep already completed before it arrived.

Could we have gone backwards, corrected things, chased gaps and spent considerably more time making everything as close to perfect as possible? Absolutely.

But that wasn’t the goal of this project.

The goal was to work with what we were given, lay down a beautiful finish, add some simple black graphics and get the car looking shiny and back into the customer’s hands — without turning it into a full restoration.

We do the big, obsessive, every-detail-matters builds. We also do more focused projects where the scope and budget are kept under control.

Good work doesn’t always mean doing everything. Sometimes it means deciding what matters for a specific car and its owner.

Apparently custom-painted roofs are having a moment.

We’ve been seeing the affordable printed wraps popping up that recreate the look of layered custom paint — and honestly, it’s pretty cool seeing this style getting some attention.

This one, though, was done the old fashioned way.

We masked out the graphic panels and built them with different House of Kolor pearl basecoats. The water-drop pattern was created using actual drops of water as the mask. The lace pattern? An actual piece of lace.

We finished the panels with spun silver leaf borders so the design would still have some definition in lower light, then buried everything under House of Kolor candy and clear.

“Full repaint” can mean a lot of different things.

Around here, when we’re doing one at this level, it means taking the car far enough apart that we can properly address the areas you normally don’t see — jambs, edges, engine bay, and all the little places that become pretty obvious once everything starts going back together. Full disassembly equals a higher quality job.

The actual spraying is the satisfying part, but that happens quite quickly.
Getting everything to the point where we can spray it is most of the story and the part that takes the longest.
