Highway driving is where most new drivers realise how big the road really is. It is not about courage. It is about knowing the sequence and repeating it.

Sunset comes earlier every week from here. Dim the dashboard. Look right of centre, never into oncoming headlights. Add following distance. Clean the windshield inside, glare doubles when it is dirty.

We teach night driving on purpose, not by accident.

Driving is supposed to be like riding a bike. It is not. Returning after years off the road, moving from rural roads into Edmonton traffic, rebuilding confidence after a collision. Two to six hours is usually all it takes.

Most drivers know distracted driving is dangerous. Most drivers still check their phone. Knowing is not the same as changing. Save this and pass it on.

Class 7 held one full year. Basic course is 15 hours class plus 10 in-car. Most students finish in four to six weeks. Everyone asks how fast. The better question is how well. Students who cram often pass, then struggle for months after.

Most people practice driving. Almost nobody practices the vehicle inspection. Examiners can refuse the test if your car is not road ready. Know your controls before you sit down.

Schools are opening again. Kids move fast. Drivers need to slow down.
Save this and share it with someone who drives near a school. 🚸
