The axle is spinning. The CV joint isn’t. The car is going nowhere.
Budget axle doing budget axle things.

An inexpensive replacement axle had been installed on this Mercedes, and it failed internally under load. Instead of transferring power to the wheel, it’s twisting the CV boot like an elastic band while the car goes absolutely nowhere.

Saving money on the part now means buying another axle, paying for the job twice, and dealing with an undriveable car.

The cheapest part isn’t always the cheapest repair. Buy quality and do the job once. 🔧
