📚🇩🇪 Kindermärchenstunde / Children’s Storytelling Hour is Back! 🇦🇹🇨🇦

The German Club Edmonton and Club Austria are delighted to invite families to another afternoon of stories, songs, crafts, games, and fun!

Whether your children already speak German, are just beginning to learn, or simply enjoy a good story, this bilingual event is a wonderful way to experience German language and culture in a warm, welcoming environment.

Everyone in town is coming to Heritage Festival today because of yesterday’s shutdown! We are on a big push to carry on and sell until 9 pm!! If anybody has free time please come down to help us with sales and then with the takedown! Any amount of help is welcome!! 🙏 ❤️🇩🇪🌭

The German Canadian Cultural Association of Edmonton is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this year’s German Pavilion a success at the Edmonton Heritage Festival, August 1–3, 2026, at Hawrelak Park.

Whether you’re a long-time member or simply looking to meet new people, this is a fantastic way to:
🍺 Support your community
🥨 Celebrate German culture and heritage
🤝 Meet great people
🎉 Have fun while giving back

We’re looking for volunteers to help:
✅ Prepare and serve delicious German food
✅ Sell merchandise
✅ Keep the pavilion running smoothly throughout the weekend

Volunteer Shifts:
🔵 Saturday: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM | 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
🟢 Sunday: 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 3:30 PM – 9:00 PM
🟣 Monday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
