We're now starting to see the supply issues hit the big retailer shelves across Canada at Costco, Walmart, and Canadian Tire as the last pre-war shipment ran out. For example, the price of a 2-jug pack of Kirkland brand motor oil at Costco jumped from $45 to $70-80 this week at some locations.

We stocked up early on in preparation for this outcome and will maintain our prices as long as our current supplies last, however being a small shop with oil change season looming we'll eventually need to adjust our prices when our suppliers do.

In addition to oil changes on existing vehicles, the issue could potentially affect auto manufacturing as well

The suspension mounting points on the rear subframe could rust. If not fixed, the rear suspension components could fail leading to poor handling and loss of vehicle control, creating a risk of a crash.

Spring tire rebates are coming to an end this week for most manufacturers, but Michelin just announced an extension since Spring came a little late this year: rebates for Michelin, BFGoodrich, and Uniroyal are extended until June 12th.

If you're still looking for tires, double up on savings this week by shopping end-of-season sales before the rebates end! 😎

FACTS: 👉Every 5 pounds per square inch (psi) of tire pressure you lose can translate into a 2% loss of gas mileage.
👉A tire pressure survey conducted by Canada Tire Manufacturer's Association showed that only 9% of vehicles had all 4 tires properly inflated.

✅Check your tire pressures at least once a month (and especially after hitting a bad pothole!)

✅Use a reliable tire pressure gauge

✅Always follow your manufacturer's recommended tire pressure (found inside the driver's side door)

✅If your tire pressure warning light comes on, don’t ignore it. Ignoring it doesn’t just put a dent in your wallet, it can compromise the safety and performance of your vehicle.
