Happy Labour Day Long Weekend, Highland RV Resort Campers!

There’s no better way to enjoy the last long weekend of summer than right here at the lake! Whether you’re up for a friendly game of pickleball, a refreshing swim in the pool, a round of mini-golf, spending time with your Highland friends or a relaxing day at the beach—there’s plenty to enjoy. Don’t forget, beach passes are available at the office!

Looking for a little adventure? Hop on your bike for a country ride, head out for a leisurely stroll, or simply pull up a chair at your campsite and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation.

However you choose to spend it, we hope your Labour Day weekend is filled with sunshine, laughter, campfires and great times with family and friends.

Hello Highland RV Resort Campers...

September is here, and there’s still plenty happening around Highland RV Resort! This weekend brings a great mix of activities, friendly competition, tasty food and time together with fellow campers. And if you’re craving some delicious Greek food, be sure to stop by the Lakeview Area this Saturday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. for the Runaway Greek Food Truck. Bring your cash and your appetite! 🇬🇷

Friday, September 4 kicks off with Aquafit at the Pool at 9:00 a.m., weather and pool temperature permitting. Golf continues with tee times at 9:10 and 9:20 a.m., followed by Pickleball at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 5 starts with Aquafit at 9:00 a.m. Then it’s time for our Co****le Tournament at the Lakeview Area, with registration at 11:30 a.m. and play beginning at noon. Please note that tournament sign-up is now closed. Runaway Greek Food Truck arrives from 2:00–6:00 p.m. and is CASH ONLY. Wrap up the day with Bingo at the Rec Hall at 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 6 begins with a Pancake Breakfast at 9:00 a.m. in the Rec Hall—please bring your own plate and cutlery. Pickleball follows at 10:00 a.m.

And don’t forget—Halloween in the Park is coming Saturday, September 12! 🎃 The sign-up deadline is Sunday, September 6, so be sure to get your name in. Halloween fun will include crafts followed by a pizza lunch in the Rec Hall at 11:00 a.m., with Trick-or-Treating beginning at the office at 1:00 p.m.

It’s shaping up to be another great long weekend at Highland RV Resort. Come out, join the fun and enjoy September at the lake!

Highland RV Resort Campers... mark your calendars because we have some great events coming your way!

Join us on Saturday, September 5 for our rescheduled Co****le Tournament at 12:00 p.m., followed by the Runaway Greek Food Truck at the Lakeview Area starting at 4:00 p.m. Come hungry and enjoy some delicious authentic Greek favourites!

Then on Saturday, September 12, Kool Jim’s Ice Cream Truck will be rolling into the Lakeview Area with plenty of sweet treats to enjoy. Stay tuned for the arrival time!

Friendly reminder: both food trucks are CASH ONLY, so be sure to come prepared!

Highland RV Resort campers... we have even more fun being added to the calendar!

Along with all of the great activities already planned, our Social Committee members have been busy adding a few NEW events and making an important date change. Grab your calendars and add these updates!

Saturday, September 5 now has even more to look forward to! The Co****le Tournament has been RESCHEDULED from September 26 and will now take place on September 5 at 12:00 p.m. Later that afternoon, we’re welcoming the Runaway Greek Food Truck to Highland for a NEW EVENT! They’ll be serving in the Lakeview Area beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the final order is taken. Cash only.

There is a tasty addition for Saturday, September 12! Kool Jim’s Ice Cream Truck is joining us at the Lakeview Area! Stay tuned for their arrival time. Cash only for both trucks.

These are just the new additions and date changes to an already busy Highland calendar, so be sure to update your schedules! A big thank you to our wonderful Social Committee and volunteers for continuing to add more food, fun and great reasons for our camping community to get together!

Last weekend’s rainy weather may have moved the evening’s entertainment indoors, but the Andy Colonico Duo made the Rec Hall the place to be! They put on a fantastic show and treated Highland RV Resort campers to a great night of live music.

The feedback from campers was wonderful, with many enjoying the duo’s slightly different musical style and their great selection of familiar songs we all know and love. The vocals were terrific, the guitar playing was impressive, and their talent certainly didn’t go unnoticed!

We hope to welcome the Andy Colonico Duo back to Highland RV Resort again. Next time, with a little cooperation from Mother Nature, we’d love to see them take the big stage under the pavilion!

The calendar may be getting closer to September, but Highland RV Resort isn’t slowing down yet! We have another busy weekend ahead with great food, friendly competition, live karaoke and lots of opportunities to get out and enjoy time with your fellow campers.

Friday, August 28 starts with Aquafit at 9:00 a.m. at the pool, while our golfers head to Dunnville Golf Course for 9:10 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. tee times. Please contact camper Jim if you plan to golf. At 4:00 p.m., Heaton Up the Grill rolls into the Lakeview area serving up dinner until the final order is taken. Please remember, it’s cash only. Pickleball follows at 7:00 p.m. at the Pickleball Court.

Friday night also brings something NEW to Highland — Karaoke Night! From 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Pavilion, campers are invited to grab the microphone, bring along an instrument or simply pull up a chair and enjoy the entertainment. The road will be closed during this event. If rain makes an appearance, Karaoke Night will move into the Rec Hall.

Saturday, August 29 is packed with ways to get moving. Start your morning with Aquafit at 9:00 a.m. at the pool, then head over to the Lakeview area for Co****le at noon. Get those dabbers ready because Bingo follows at the NEW TIME of 2:30 p.m. in the Rec Hall. Then it’s time to shuffle the cards for an evening of friendly competition at the Progressive Euchre Tournament! Registration begins at 6:30 p.m., with cards hitting the tables at 7:00 p.m. in the Rec Hall. No partner is required, and the cost is $5 per person toward prizes.

Sunday, August 30 brings Pickleball at 10:00 a.m. at the Pickleball Court. It’s also the sign-up deadline for the Co****le Tournament, which has been moved to September 5.

There’s still lots of summer fun left to enjoy at Highland so make the most of it and join in!
