❄️🚗 BEST WINTER VEHICLES ON VANCOUVER ISLAND?

Vancouver Island winter driving is different.

You might leave Victoria in the rain…

Hit the Malahat…

And suddenly you’re dealing with snow, ice, fog and freezing temperatures. 🌧️❄️

If I was shopping for a winter vehicle on VI, I’d be looking at:

🚙 Subaru Outback
🚙 Subaru Forester
🚙 Subaru Crosstrek
🚙 Toyota RAV4
🚙 Honda CR-V
🚙 Mazda CX-5
🚙 Nissan Rogue
🚙 Nissan Pathfinder

But here’s the BIGGEST thing:

AWD DOES NOT REPLACE WINTER TIRES.

AWD helps you get moving.

Your tires help you stop and turn.

If you’re regularly driving the Malahat, North Island, Sutton Pass, or heading into the mountains, I’d prioritize the right tires just as much as the vehicle itself.

Mackenzie is officially behind the wheel of her Nissan Frontier 4x4… WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION!! 🛻🔥

That’s right… three pedals, a proper gear stick, and the ability to tackle just about any terrain Vancouver Island can throw at her! 🌲⛰️

And the best part? There’s finally room in the bed for a hunting trip! 🎯🏕️

But honestly, one of my favourite parts of this whole experience wasn’t even the truck talk.
