As the 2026 season gets underway at Dresden Raceway this Sunday, all eyes will once again be on Garrett Rooney.

The multi-time defending driving champion returns to Dresden looking to add yet another title to an already impressive run of success. Rooney has become one of the most dominant drivers on the Ontario half-mile circuit, regularly filling the winner’s circle and setting the pace for the rest of the colony.

Known for his consistency, confidence, and aggressive style in the sulky, Rooney will be busy on Opening Day with drives in nine of the afternoon’s 10 races — giving fans plenty of opportunities to watch one of the sport’s top reinsmen in action.

The Ontario harness racing community is mourning the sudden passing of Jeff Graham, a respected horseman, trainer, and friend to so many across Southwestern Ontario. Jeff’s impact on the sport, and on the people who knew him, will not be forgotten.

Our thoughts are with Jennifer, Chase, and the entire Graham family during this incredibly difficult time.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at the Glencoe Agricultural Hall.

Join Us for Closing Day this afternoon!
Celebrate the final day of our 2025 season with an exciting afternoon of live racing and giveaways happening all day long. We will also be hosting the Young Gunz Mini Race after race 3.
Lastly we’ll be honoring our annual Black Heritage Day, recognizing the rich and important history it holds in Dresden, Ontario.
Admission and parking are free. Post time is 1:00 PM.
