Cape Breton Dragway Weekend Recap
What a weekend of racing at Cape Breton Dragway!
We got a bit of a late start Friday getting to the track, unloaded, and set up for Saturday morning. This weekend we had the Cavalier, Pinto, Mustang, Camaro, Malibu, Jr. Dragster, and Mom even took the CX-5 down the track to get some seat time before stepping into her new dragster.
Saturday started off with some time trials before the rain moved in and shut us down for the day. Sunday came in strong with lots of time trials, then straight into qualifying and eliminations.
We had a few cars go some rounds, lots of good passes, and a great day overall. Aaron got the bye run in Street Class as the #1 qualifier and drove his way right into the finals, taking home 1st place. Mom also had a great day, taking home 2nd place in Sportsman.
The rest of the cars all had solid runs, and overall it was a great weekend for the team. We definitely have some work to do before the next races, but that’s all part of it.
