🚗🧼💦🧽 We’re excited to be heading to this great event today where you can get your vehicle washed AND support the young people in the LEAP program with Kyndred Community Living Society (aka DCLS) where they’re getting employment & workplace experience and skills training this summer! ☀️

We invite you to join us in heading there today between 10:30am - 2:30pm… we hear there’s going to be a hot dog truck there at lunch as well! 🌭 🤩

This week we celebrated the birthday of one of our amazing Service Advisors, Rob! 🥳

Rob has been part of the BGAS team since 2008 and as a local resident with a few 😉 years of experience as a licensed tech, Rob understands our community & brings an in-depth knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance to his role. His talent at explaining technical details in plain language, along with his genuine care for our customers, allows those who connect with him to feel confident that they will come away from the conversation understanding what’s happening with their vehicle and empowered with knowledge & confidence in the next steps for its care. 🚙

We’re so grateful for not only the work Rob does, but also for the thoughtful & caring person he is and how he brings a fantastic energy to every day he’s in the shop. We hope you’re enjoying a great birthday week, Rob - you deserve every minute of it!! ❤️

We hope everyone has a great time celebrating at the National Indigenous People’s Day events at TFN this afternoon!

✨This FRIDAY, JUNE 21st, 2024 is National Indigenous Peoples Day! Come celebrate with Tsawwassen First Nation with a FREE Family Fun Event open to all! 🧡

Located at the TFN Sports Field (behind the Youth Centre at 2300 Falcon Way) from 4:00pm to 8:00pm! There will be:
🍔 Food Trucks & BBQs
🍦 Ice cream
🌿 Craft Fair & Vendors
🎵 Local Indigenous Musicians Murray Porter & Wesley Hardisty, as well as TFN Youth Performances
🏒 Ball Hockey Tournament
🎨 Face Painting & More!

🚙 PUBLIC PARKING will be available at Tsawwassen Mills near Entrance 4, with shuttle service to the event provided by Tsawwassen Shuttles Inc.

‼️ Parking at the Sports Field will be extremely limited, so please walk, bike or take transit if you can!

☀️ It'll be nice and warm Friday, so be sure to pack a hat and sunscreen!

Today we wanted to take a moment to introduce & highlight one of our amazing team of certified Automotive Repair Technicians: Anmar. As someone who shows up every day with a positive work ethic, “can do it!” attitude, and who has shown all of us what it means to never give up, we want to take this opportunity to share our appreciation for him. This year has been a milestone one for Anmar and his family. After completing his training & gaining years of experience as a mechanic 🔧, Anmar and his family came to Canada.

In the past 5 years since he arrived in Canada, Anmar has re-taken all of his automotive training (in a new language!) & completed a 4-year apprenticeship AND in 2023 alone he’s celebrated becoming a Canadian citizen 🇨🇦, his graduation from BCIT School of Transportation & his new status as a Red Seal certified Tech! 🎉 All while working here at BGAS. Now that’s impressive! 🤩

Thanks for being a valued member of our team over these past five years, Anmar, we’re looking forward to all that the next years have in store for you! ⭐️
