🚨 Before your Tufport goes on, one thing has to come off...

Our MTCs, Slide-Ins, and FIST units extend beyond the length of the truck bed so the tailgate needs to be removed.

With the tailgate removed, we recommend requesting a "wiring shield" from your truck manufacturer. This helps protect the exposed tailgate connector from dirt, moisture, and road debris, keeping those electrical connections clean and protected.

It's all part of the attention to detail that goes into every Tufport installation so you're ready for the adventures ahead. 🚛🏕️

🚐 Important: Preparing Your Van Roof Before Tufport Installation 🚐

To ensure a perfect fit and long-term leak-free performance, here’s what we recommend doing before your Tufport van top is installed:
✅Remove all roof racks and accessories and patch holes in the gutters
✅Repair any rust on the roof — this is very important for a strong, clean bond
✅Check and seal any existing holes or potential leak points

Also, please let us know ahead of time if your van has any of the following:
-Dents in the roof
-Third brake light still working or cracked
-Bed liner / spray-on coating on the roof
-Any modifications other than a completely stock van roof

The better prepared the roof is, the smoother the installation goes and the better the final result looks!

A well-prepped roof = a stronger installation and peace of mind for years to come.

We installed a MaxxAir 10-Speed reversible fan with the built-in rain shield on top. This thing is a game-changer — moves serious air on high, runs whisper quiet on low, and you can reverse the blades to pull air out or push fresh air in. No more stuffy van nights.
