This weeks Feature Friday showcases a local SilverTip Service customer and fellow motorcycle and music enthusiast Dunnett Classic Drums
Owner, Artist and CEO Ronn Dunnett has been in the music industry for over 40 years, and proudly calls South Delta home for him and his family.
Dunnett Classic drums are really one of a kind pieces of art. Each drum is meticulously engineered with the utmost care and it shows.
Ronn’s creations started when as a drummer, he was unsatisfied with the products that were available and began modifying other manufacturer's shells and hardware, doing refinishing, bearing edges etc. It became a labour of lust! By 1994 he had designed, developed and built several prototypes based on his own rather unorthodox concepts, simple innovation and what he felt was lacking from existing products.
Ronn believes “There’s only one thing that counts-how a drum speaks to you. Base your drum purchasing decision on that and you’ll never regret it.” Samples of Dunnet Drums can be heard on recordings from artists such as Carter Beauford of Dave Matthews Band, Dennis Chambers backing Santana, Joey Jordison of Slipknot, Ash Sood with Sarah MacLachlan and Joey Waronker of REM, Beck and Tonic.
