This Thanksgiving, we’re counting our blessings — and life on the water is at the top of the list. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of casting off the lines, spending the day surrounded by ocean air, and sharing laughter and sunsets with the people who matter most.

It has been another wonderful season here, and we have so enjoyed you sharing your adventures with us. Now that our season has closed, many of our Members are planning memory-making adventures at sites around the world, many of which are open year-round. Membership here gives you freedom to enjoy the waters locally and beyond!

Wherever this day finds you, may you be experiencing a sense of joy and gratitude with those closest to you!

LET THE MEMORY MAKING BEGIN!

Pictured here are two of our newest members back from training with Captain Derrick. They are ready to enjoy unlimited use of our fleet of boats on Halifax Harbour and St. Margaret's Bay as well as free visitor access to boats at 425+ sites around the world! At Freedom Boat Club, we believe that safe, competent boaters are happy boaters. That is why unlimited training is included in all our regular memberships.

Happy Members on return from viewing the SailGP races Sunday from the Bring Your Own Boat special viewing zone. Their smiles say it all - great day for all!

With the change in SailGP race times at short notice to an earlier time on Sunday, it was a "race" to get our boat, members and Captain Mark into the special BYOB viewing zone but they made it! Look at that tri-toon go!

We Are OPEN!

What a glorious day to start boating this season! We are delighted to be settled into our temporary relocation from the Kings Wharf Marina in Dartmouth to 367 Bedford Highway on the site of the Sagar Ratan restaurant and Bedford Basin B**r Garden. It has been a fun morning welcoming both new and returning Members! Glorious memory making adventures await!

A focus for Earth Day 2026 is conscious consumption., encouraging individuals to 'consume less, but better' to reduce overall environmental impact. It is about quality, not quantity. It is about being able to reduce our impact on the environment and improve our quality of life while not implying deprivation.
