ENDURO: A reminder to Enduro teams joining us on Saturday. All Enduro teams must park in the green area on the map and cannot be parked on the reserved pavement parking nearest to the track or in the gravel across from the reserved pavement spots.

There are no exceptions to this. If you want to park with another team, that team can park with you in the Enduro pit area, but Enduros cannot park in the front part of the pits in the red area on the map.

We appreciate your cooperation on this and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow, October 10th, for the Halifax 300!

The UMG Atlantic Mortgages Bandolero division is the only one where we find a two-time winner of the Halifax 300 in the first three years - and we are guaranteed a new Bandolero winner of the event in 2026.

Ethan Hicken has won the last two years of the Halifax 300 in the Bandolero division. In 2025, he was on his way to the track championship while his inaugural win was during a part-time season in 2024. Ethan will look to take home a 300 crown in the Legend division in 2026.

Landon Pierce capped a runner-up season in the standings with the inaugural Halifax 300 for the Bandoleros in 2024. Pierce has since moved up to the Sportsman divisions, touring around the Maritimes hitting big events throughout the region.

Bristol Matthews, Shelby Chisholm and Addison Veinotte are all former event winners in the Beginner division. Can they take home a second Halifax 300, this time in the Bandolero class?!

Who will capture the Halifax 300 on Saturday for the UMG Atlantic Mortgages Bandoleros? Post time is 2pm - come join us in Halifax and find out!

When you want a snapshot of U.S. Legend Cars International and INEX racing in the Maritimes over the past three seasons, look no further than the Halifax 300 at Scotia Speedworld, which runs its fourth edition this Saturday at 2pm!

Gage Gilby and Ayden Christensen capped track championships at Scotia Speedworld in 2023 and 2024 with wins in the Halifax 300. Gilby and Christensen have both gone on to success with the FGI Pro Stock Tour - Gilby winning the Season Opener for the Tour at Scotia Speedworld in May and Christensen completing a solid rookie season highlighted by a podium finish at Oyster Bed Speedway in September.

Caden Tufts shook the heartbreak of losing a track title in 2025 with a win in the Halifax 300. Fast forward 12 months, and Tufts is a champion of Scotia Speedworld in the Legends class in dominating fashion, winning nine of 11 features en route to the title. Tufts can become the first two-time winner of this race in his class Saturday with a victory in the 40-lap feature.

Who will come out on top in the Halifax 300 for the Legend division? Find out Saturday, October 10th at 2pm.

The Halifax 300 feature events for the UMG Atlantic Mortgages Beginners have seen three different winners - and they are all female competitors and all went on to win their division titles that same year! Will we continue a trend on Saturday or will streaks be broken?!

The 2026 UMG Atlantic Mortgages Bandolero Champion wrapped up her Beginner championship in 2023 with the inaugural Halifax 300 win in the Beginners. Bristol Matthews will look to become only the second two-time Halifax 300 winner on Saturday to go along with her 2023 Beginner win.

Shelby Chisholm capped off her 2024 championship season with a Beginner win in the Halifax 300. Shelby has competed part-time in 2026 in the UMG Atlantic Mortgages Bandolero division with three podium finishes this season!

Addison Veinotte is the most recent winner of the Halifax 300 in the Beginners. Her championship season in 2025 was impressive and has one feature win in her 2026 season racing with the UMG Atlantic Mortgages Bandoleros.

Trends abound heading into this 15-lap feature. We will see a fourth different Halifax 300 winner in this class - will it be a fourth straight champion with Ryder Smith or a fourth straight female winner with Addison MacLean or Harper Grace? Can Ryan Chisholm bring the title home to Antigonish for a second time, Brayden Wood pick up another marquee event after a Mike Stevens Memorial win in September or can Nicholas Farrell race to a third straight Beginner win to cap off 2026?!

The Traction Mini Stocks have also seen three different winners in the three years of the Halifax 300. Those three winners, each in different makes and models, are three of the top drivers in Mini Stocks. Will we see a fourth join the trio when the checkered flag falls this Saturday?!

Steven Matthews won the inaugural race in 2023. A track champion and winner of many big races, "Mr. Lightning on the Hill" has made one start this season and will be a threat to win if he pulls through the back gates on Saturday.

Chris Drover is a former Bud’s Speedway Mini Stock champion and won the Halifax 300 back in 2024. Chris has raced several different cars over the years, but his Civic was the one that carried the checkered flag in the second edition of the Halifax 300 for the Mini. Chris has two feature wins this season in the Bay Equipment Rentals & Sales Weekly Racing Series - the only one with two point wins and only one of two with multiple Mini Stock feature wins when you include the non point win by Ethan Miller in May.

Chevy MacDonald is coming off clinching a top five run in the Traction Mini Stock standings. The 2025 Halifax 300 champion led the division in feature podium finishes in 2026 with six top three efforts in a dozen starts - five of those coming in the last six races.

Either way - it is bound to be an exciting season finale on Saturday, October 10th for "the BEST Four Cylinder Drivers in Atlantic Canada!"

The Maritime Auto Glass Sportsman portion of the Halifax 300 has gone to three different drivers in its three seasons, but it has all gone under the same roof. In 2026, that will appear to change after 100-laps on Saturday.

Smith Brothers Racing have won the first three Sportsman features during the Halifax 300. Russell Smith Jr won the inaugural race in 2023, followed by his father Russell Sr in 2024 and his brother Deven in 2025. While there is no rumblings of a Sportsman ride coming to the track Saturday from Smith Brothers Racing, it seems like there will be a fourth different winner in as many years.

That winner is anyone's guess. Matt Vaughan is the only repeat winner in the class on the Bay Equipment Rentals & Sales Weekly Racing Series in 10 races. In fact, of the 14 full-time cars in 2026, 13 of those won either a heat or feature throughout the 10 race season. Talk about close competition!

Be there Saturday, October 10th at 2pm to find out who adds their name to history and captures the final Epic Racewear Checkered Flag of the season in the Maritime Auto Glass Sportsman.

When it comes to Mini Stock drivers in Atlantic Canada over the past decade, Rob Poirier is one of the most recognizable and successful to come out of New Brunswick.

Saturday, he makes his first trip to Halifax with the No. 0 for the Halifax 300!

Rob is registered to compete with us Saturday, October 10th as we celebrate our 2026 season with extended distance features in all classes, including a 50 Lap Traction Mini Stock feature. He may need to get some pointers from Jake, who made the haul from Irishtown for our September Enduro.

Just another reason to join us on Saturday, October 10th beginning at 2pm for the Fourth Annual Halifax 300!

DRIVER OF THE WEEK
Round 15 - September 25th, 2026
Chevy MacDonald
#80 Traction Mini Stock

Our final Driver of the Week of the season is none other than Traction Mini Stock driver #80, Chevy MacDonald!

Chevy is a second-generation driver at Scotia Speedworld, he closed out the season with three straight top-three finishes, including another solid podium on Friday night and a top 5 in the Championship standings.

Chevy’s contribution to the track goes far beyond what he does behind the wheel. He is part of the effort that has helped no less than five other cars make it to the racetrack and compete in our weekly series. Week after week, he’s there lending a hand, helping other drivers chase their own racing goals and making the pits a better place to be.

Chevy is one of the most giving drivers at the track and one of the most positive people you can spend a Friday night around. He’s exactly the kind of competitor every racetrack hopes to have more of.

A huge tip of the hat to Chevy MacDonald for a great season, another podium finish, and everything he does to help make our weekly racing possible. Congratulations, Chevy, on being our final Driver of the Week for the Bay Equipment Rentals & Sales Weekly Racing Series!
