Explore an exciting, hands-on career before you even graduate high school!

Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to get paid, gain experience, and fast-track your future in the Skilled Trades!

TestDrive is one of three summer sector programs that help you determine your future Skilled Trade career path.

Open to all students enrolled in grade 10 or 11 in the Nova Scotia Public School System, or Council Scolaire Acadien Provincial, who are at least 16 by May 1st 2027. Earn high school co-op credits, participate in safety training with NSCC instructors, be granted pre-apprenticeship hours by NSAA, and experience paid summer work in the industry! 

Nova Scotia needs Agricultural Equipment Technicians, Automotive Glass Technicians, Automotive Refinishing Technicians, Automotive Service Technicians, AST- Service Centre Technicians, Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians, Marine Service Technicians, Auto Body and Collision Technicians, Motorcycle Technicians, Parts Technicians, Recreation Vehicle Service Technicians, Transport Trailer Technicians, and Truck and Transport Mechanics! Many career options are available in the Motive Power Industry and are awaiting your exploration! Rewarding work and financial security can happen right here in Nova Scotia.
