⚡ A First for Our New Location! ⚡

A few weeks ago, we started servicing vehicles at our brand-new Blue Mountain AUTOPRO NexDrive facility in Port Coquitlam!

We were excited to welcome Brandi Bailey as our very first customer on the electric vehicle side of our new shop!

Brandi brought in her 2017 Kia Soul EV for some important maintenance, including:

🔧 Front Brakes: Replaced the front brake pads and rotors to restore proper braking performance.

🔧 Rear Brake Service: Cleaned, inspected and serviced the rear brakes. Electric vehicles use regenerative braking, which means the conventional brakes often get less use. While this helps reduce brake pad wear, it can also lead to corrosion, rust buildup and sticking brake components. Regular brake servicing is especially important on EVs!

🔧 Cabin Air Filter: Installed a new cabin air filter to help maintain clean airflow and improve the vehicle's heating and air conditioning performance.

🔧 Front Drive Unit Fluid: Replaced the dirty and contaminated drive unit fluid with the correct manufacturer-specified fluid. Just like conventional vehicles, electric vehicles have drivetrain components that require proper lubrication to help prevent premature wear and ensure long-term reliability.

Electric vehicles may require less maintenance, but they are certainly not maintenance-free!

At Blue Mountain AUTOPRO NexDrive, our high-voltage certified technicians have the specialized training, equipment and experience to properly service and maintain electric and hybrid vehicles.

❤️ So Grateful for Our Incredible Team! ❤️

Jordy and I are feeling incredibly grateful and blessed as we prepare to move Blue Mountain AUTOPRO NexDrive into our beautiful new facility!

Unbeknownst to me, our amazing team members took time out of their own long weekend to come in on Saturday and Thanksgiving Monday to help with the move to our new location at 2054 Kingsway Avenue in Port Coquitlam.

A huge heartfelt thank you to Dave, Gabe and Edi, Matt, Mike, and Edwin! An extra special thank you to those who brought their sons along to lend a helping hand. It means more to us than you will ever know!

When we found out what everyone had done for us, the least we could do was bring in some pizzas and enjoy a meal together with this wonderful group of people! 🍕❤️

We are so fortunate to be moving into a beautiful, modern facility that is twice the size of our current location, giving us the opportunity to grow, expand our services, and continue taking great care of our customers for many years to come.

But as exciting as the new building is, it's the people inside it who truly make Blue Mountain AUTOPRO special.

Moving a business is a huge undertaking, and seeing our team come together on their own time, especially during a holiday weekend, reminds us just how lucky we are.

Jordy and I have always believed that our employees are more than just a team — they are family. We couldn't ask for a better group of people to share this exciting new chapter with.

🧡 EVERY CHILD MATTERS — TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION DAY 🧡

Blue Mountain AUTOPRO – NexDrive will be closed Wednesday, September 30th in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This day honours the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

We believe it is important to take time to listen, learn, reflect and recognize the lasting impact of residential schools in Canada and the importance of continuing the path toward reconciliation.

We will reopen for regular business hours on Thursday, October 1st.

⚡🔧 TESLA TUESDAY! 🔧⚡

This 2021 Tesla Model Y AWD has reached an impressive 197,000 km and was in for some important preventative EV maintenance.

Both the front and rear Electric Drive Units (EDUs) were serviced. Each drive unit contains gearbox oil that lubricates and cools the internal gears, bearings and electric motor components, along with a serviceable oil filter that helps capture contaminants and wear material circulating through the system.

When performing the EDU service, we replace the gearbox fluid, oil filters and required seals — not simply drain and refill the fluid.

EVs may require less traditional maintenance, but they’re definitely not maintenance-free!

EVs require less traditional maintenance — but they’re not maintenance-free!

Battery — precondition while plugged in during cold weather to help preserve range.
Brakes — regenerative braking means your conventional brakes get less use. Regular cleaning and servicing helps prevent corrosion and sticking.
Tires — EV weight and instant torque make tire pressure, rotations and alignments especially important.
Cooling System — battery and drive-unit thermal management still requires inspection and maintenance.
Filters — cabin air and HEPA filters still need regular replacement.
Winter Range — expect reduced range in colder Canadian temperatures.
