We don’t give up!

Our customers came this morning wanting to test drive our 2016 Hyundai Veloster. It turns out that as we were moving it out of its parking spot, the gear shifter got stuck in neutral.
I had to act quickly knowing that they drove about 1 hr just to see/ drive the car … I asked for 15 mins (not knowing what the cause of the problem was ) and they agreed to wait.

I did some research and it said to remove some components, including the air intake, battery and tray to reach the gear shifter manually. I didn’t have all the tools required so I had to improvise. Thankfully I was able to do everything in about 25 mins. Now it was time to check and hope that my repair worked. I respectfully asked the client to jump in the car for me to help me test it and… it was fixed.

We put the dealer plates on the car and we went on a 20 min test drive. Our customers were impressed on how well the vehicle drove and did not hesitate to leave a deposit when we came back.

We work with used vehicles and sometimes these issues happen when they sit in the same parking spot for a few days, we can’t control that but we can control the way we respond when it happens.

I’m proud that I managed to turn what could a been a disastrous situation/ experience for the majority of sales advisors into a Sold vehicle !

Thank you for your business and for your Patience, Dakota! We will see you on pick up day 👋
