🔑 OFFICIALLY THE END OF AN ERA AND THE START OF SOMETHING BIGGER.

After many great years at 70 Borrowman Drive, CSN Chatham is officially preparing to move on💙

This location has been an important part of our story, but thanks to the incredible support of our customers, partners and the Chatham-Kent community, we simply outgrew it.

As we take the next step into our new, purpose-built facility, we want to sincerely thank everyone who helped us grow to this point🙌

We also want to congratulate the new owner of 70 Borrowman Drive and wish them nothing but success in this next chapter for the property🔑

For us, this isn’t just a move. It represents years of growth, investment and confidence in the future of our team and our community.

Thank you, Chatham-Kent. The next chapter is almost here👀

Hello!

We have some exciting changes coming up soon at The Shop, all thanks to you-our loyal customers. But before we share our news, we want your help with something thats near to my wife and I. On September 12th, my family is racing in a fundraising challenge in support of Safe Families Canada - Chatham-Kent + we would love your support!

Heres our why:

Safe Families exists to provide support to local families in a crisis. They provide a model in which parents can voluntarily place their children with a host family temporarily while they get support for their crisis. Examples of this are a mother wanting to go to rehab, parents experiencing homelessness, a mother having a medical or mental health crisis that needs to stay in the hospital for a period of time, etc. Sometimes people simply don’t have a village surrounding them + when faced with a crisis, that’s what the team at Safe Families becomes. This allows for the parents to maintain custody of their children while working together with Safe Families coaches or other organizations to stabilize their home before the children return. This keeps children safe and families together and allows the staff and volunteers to show the love of Christ in action.

As former foster parents ourselves for fourteen years here in Chatham, we have seen the need firsthand + have watched this ministry walk side by side with countless families over the years, providing compassion, support, stability, and care. Keeping kids safe and families together. Let’s come on this together Chatham Kent!

If you haven’t supported a student from
JobWorx Chatham before + own a business, I encourage you to! This is our second year welcoming Liam to the crew and he’s been a great addition to the shop!

The JOBWORX Summer Employment Program has wrapped up another successful year, welcoming high school students from across our community. This year’s group was exceptional! The students motivated, encouraged, and supported one another throughout the summer, and it was wonderful to see so many genuine friendships develop along the way.

Each morning, students gained valuable paid work experience at local businesses, and in the afternoons, they gave back to the community by completing volunteer hours. Fridays brought everyone together for a car wash and BBQ, with proceeds helping fund their year-end celebration.

By the end of the program, every student walked away with real-world work experience, an updated resume, money to help with back-to-school expenses, and, perhaps most importantly, new friendships and memories that will last well beyond the summer.

A VERY special thank you to this year’s employers! Your willingness to hire a student, provide them with an opportunity to learn new skills, and serve as a mentor is appreciated beyond words.

Your support makes this program possible and gives young people invaluable experience.

We are incredibly proud of this year’s JOBWORX students and grateful to everyone who helped make their summer such a success!

Meet Liam-our summer placement through . JobWorx Chatham is a great organization who provides job opportunities to those wanting to learn + grow. Our own daughter gained skills + experience through this program many years ago and we are always happy to support! Liam is an excellent worker who enjoys cars and all kinds of musical instruments.
