That tiny weeping/ leaking hole on the bottom of a Getrag 7DCL750 isn’t a defect it’s a warning light made of metal. Two fluids, two seals, one drip that tells you before the expensive part happens.

Ferrari 458, Mercedes AMG GT and SLS, Ford GT — same transmission, same weep hole.

Credit to hollywoodmechanic for the deep dive on this box. He rebuilds these for a living and his teardown videos are where a lot of this comes from.
