We are still getting phone calls to cancel because of smoke in the area.

We had some smoke roll in yesterday afternoon because of planned ignitions near Clinton. I'll put a picture of the worst it got in the comments.

We are able to accept guests again.

We are on evacuation alert .... It might get smokey some days.

We are on temporary boil water notice - technicality of the water system being unmonitored during the evacuation.

Any reservations that were cancelled due to the evacuation order could quickly be revived. Let us know if you want to come.

We have been taken off of order, now on evacuation alert.

We don't know if we'll be able to accept guests yet.

I sat down to give an update post, but there's not much to update.

As far as any threat to the Resort - the fire has moved closer, but recent heat maps seemed to indicate a decrease in fire activity and expansion. That can change. BC Wildfire webpage says the fire has a full guard, but still fuel inside the guard. We hope that the warmer weather this week won't cause the fire to move again.

For us to speculate how long the order will be in place is impossible.

We are sending out emails a week in advance of your 2026 arrival to arrange booking for next year. If you wish to cancel before that time, contact us is by email to [email protected] , or FB Messenger to this account.

We can only hope for a quick return to welcoming guests. In the meantime, our sincere thanks to the firefighters protecting ours and the surrounding communities. Stay Safe.
