Burnaby Velodrome Club The Burnaby Velodrome Club runs and maintains the only indoor track for bicycles in Western Canada.

The Burnaby Velodrome Club is more than just a group of cyclists. We run one of only two indoor velodromes in Canada and the only indoor track in Western Canada. We are a National Training Facility and provide year-round programming for people of all ages and abilities. Learn to be a better bike rider and have a blast in the process!

Now that Friday Night Racing has wrapped up, Moto-Master Adam will be doing motorpacing sessions every Friday!

A few special dates to keep in mind:
- April 17: Flying 200s
- May 15: Round Robin Sprints
- June 19: Keirins

The flying 200s will seed the round robins and the keirins. Enduros are welcome if they want to participate.

Heads up, riders! Please be advised that the Harry Jerome Sports Centre will be experiencing a planned power outage this Friday, February 13.

🚴‍♂️ Junior Track Training Camp – January 15–16 🚴‍♀️

Cycling BC is excited to host a two-day Junior Track Training Camp at the Burnaby Velodrome on Thursday January 15 & Friday January 16.

This camp is designed for race-focused junior athletes preparing for Track Nationals, building Team Pursuit / Team Sprint squads, or simply looking to develop strong track skills and race understanding.

👥 Coaches: Tim & Stephen
🎯 Who: Juniors aged 14–18
(Outside this range? Email Tara & Tim to discuss suitability)

🗓 Schedule:
• 2 days (Thu & Fri)
• 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM each day

⚡ Daily Focus:
• Thursday: Sprint-oriented training
• Friday: Endurance-oriented training

💰 Cost: $75 for both days
(Payment can be made after registering)

BVC Mania 2 – What a Weekend!

BVC Mania wrapped with an electric atmosphere on and off the track. From juniors to seasoned racers, the level of skill, intensity, and competitive spirit made this one of our most memorable editions yet. Thank you to every rider who showed up ready to race and brought unbelievable energy to the velodrome.

A huge appreciation goes out to our volunteers, BVC staff, commissaires, scoring crew, and all the friends and family who pitched in throughout the weekend. Events like this run smoothly only because so many people jump in and make things happen.

A special shoutout to Dave Gerth and Jen Gerth for steering the ship. The passion, hours, and heart you invest into Mania each year are felt by everyone. Jen even managed to race while helping pull it all together which is simply incredible.

Big thanks to for supporting the event with prizes and goodie bags, for the treats, .kilo for their help organizing, and Taiga for capturing the whole weekend behind the lens. Follow us on Instagram for all the updates and re-shares from the weekend.

Heads up everyone — a quick update for this week’s FNR.

We had originally planned to run Keirins, but due to moto operator availability we’ve shifted the evening to Endurance racing across all categories.

⏰ Racing starts shortly after 7:00pm!

🔥 NEW AT BVC MANIA: NOVICE WOMEN’S RACES ADDED! 🔥

We’re excited to announce that we’ve added two Novice Women’s races to the BVC Mania schedule to support new riders stepping into track racing!

These races are designed specifically for women who have completed Learn to Race sessions and want a fun, supportive, low-pressure environment to gain experience racing as a part of a big event.

📅 Saturday, December 6
• 20 lap Scratch race — approx. 2:30 pm
• 30 lap Points race — approx. 4:30 pm
• FREE to enter
• Cycling BC license required
• Includes warm-up/practice track time
• Experienced women racers will be there to help with tips and encouragement
• Race will run with minimum 5 riders

Whether you’re new to the track or coming back after some time, this is the perfect opportunity to step in, gain confidence, and join the community.

We’d love to see as many women as possible on the start line!

High-performance Individual Pursuit coaching continues for riders preparing for Track Nationals. Starts, speed, pacing, ex*****on — dial it all in.

🕚 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Super Sunday Madison
Sharpen your handslings, refine your exchanges, and lock in smooth Madison timing.

🕐 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Novice/Intermediate coached workout — perfect if you’ve completed an LT-Ride and want to grow your skills, boost confidence, and get ready for Wednesday sessions or racing.

There’s something for every level — from emerging riders to athletes targeting the podium.
