🔥 Throwback Thursday! 🔥

This one popped up in our Google Photos memories today!

A few years back we had the pleasure of performing paint correction and ceramic coating on this Australian-built Pontiac GTO. While many people recognize the GTO badge, fewer realize these cars were actually built by Holden in Australia and imported to North America in limited numbers.

This particular GTO received a full paint correction to remove years of swirls, scratches, and wash marring before being protected with a professional ceramic coating. Even today, the deep red paint and body lines still make these cars stand out from the crowd.

As enthusiasts ourselves, it’s always rewarding to work on vehicles that are becoming harder and harder to find on the road.

🔥 Wonderful Wednesday! 🔥

The Nissan GT-R is now on the hoist and well underway through paint correction after arriving with some very unfortunate key marks and scratches.

One of the biggest misconceptions in paint correction is that if you can feel a scratch with your fingernail, it automatically means a repaint is required. While that is often true, not always.

Understanding paint systems, measuring paint thickness, and knowing when and how to use the proper tools can make all the difference.

In this case, our rotary polisher, lambswool pad, and heavy-cut process were able to dramatically reduce the damage and restore the appearance far beyond what many would expect.

100% perfect? No.

1000% better? Absolutely. 😎

Also in today was a Jeep Grand Cherokee for a much-needed interior detail after a year of home building, mud, dust, dirt roads, and daily use. We also gave it a quick exterior wash, but it won’t be heading home tonight as we’re allowing everything to dry out properly before final delivery.

🏁 C8 Stingray Complete! 🏁

Another stunning Corvette C8 Stingray has now completed its paint enhancement and ceramic coating package here at Scott’s Custom Auto Spa & Ceramic Coatings.

After a full chemical decontamination, clay treatment, strip wash and paint enhancement, this beautiful Stingray received its GlossTech Ceramic Coating application in our fully climate-controlled studio. The result is exactly what we strive for on every vehicle—deep gloss, incredible clarity and long-lasting protection.

The sharp body lines, Carbon Fibre accents really stand out against this sleek grey finish. Photos never quite capture the depth and reflection that a properly prepared and ceramic coated finish delivers in person.

This C8 joins a collection of other Corvettes already residing in the owner’s garage, and we’re honoured to have been trusted with another prized vehicle.

🚗 Time To Ceramic Coat Tuesday! 🚗

The C8 Corvette Stingray is now through its paint enhancement process and is currently undergoing final pre-ceramic preparation before receiving its GlossTech Ceramic Coating shortly.

Waiting in the wings is the next project to hit the hoist — this stunning Pearl White Nissan GT-R with carbon fibre accents that arrived earlier today for paint correction and ceramic coating. 🔥

It wasn’t just performance cars keeping us busy either. A Toyota Tacoma was also in for a complete detail, and its garage mate is scheduled to arrive later this week.

And the lineup keeps getting better…

Arriving Saturday is an extremely rare 1995 BMW M850 CSi for paint correction and ceramic coating. We are honoured to have another special collector vehicle entrusted to our care.

A few more paint correction and ceramic coating projects were also booked in today, keeping the schedule moving right through the coming weeks.

Happy Monday! 😎

The next GlossTech Ceramic Coating project is officially on the hoist and already underway under our Paint Enhancement Package.

After a complete chemical decontamination, clay treatment, and strip wash, this beautiful C8 Corvette Stingray is now receiving the attention it deserves before being protected with a professional-grade GlossTech ceramic coating.

This isn’t the owner’s first Corvette either — this Stingray shares garage space with a collection of other Corvettes, making it an honour to be trusted with another special ride.

Our goal is to have the ceramic coating installed by tomorrow evening, allowing it to cure safely indoors overnight in our fully climate-controlled studio.

And the week doesn’t stop there…

Tomorrow afternoon we welcome the next project through the doors — a Nissan GT-R scheduled for paint correction and GlossTech ceramic coating. 🔥

It’s shaping up to be another busy week of performance cars, collector vehicles, and daily drivers here at Scott’s.

Rotary 1st 🔨 down… Dual Action polisher second. You sand to improve not remove. not polish to improve and not remove.

In professional paint correction, the goal isn’t simply to make defects look better — it’s to remove as many defects as safely possible while preserving paint thickness.

A Dual Action (DA) polisher is an excellent finishing tool and can improve gloss dramatically. However, when dealing with heavier defects, deeper swirls, sanding marks, oxidation, or dealership-installed buffer trails, there are times when a rotary polisher remains the proper tool for the job.

This is one of the differences between polishing paint and truly correcting paint.

Mercedes E53 AMG – Complete! ✨

This beautiful Mercedes E53 AMG has now completed its multi-stage paint correction process and has been protected with GlossTech Pro-Series Signature Ceramic Coating.

Over the past several days, every panel was carefully inspected, corrected, refined, and prepared before the coating installation process began. The result is the deep gloss, clarity, and reflection you would expect from a true paint correction—not a quick polish and wax.

In addition to the paintwork, we also ceramic coated the wheels, brake calipers, exterior glass, and exterior trim for complete protection. The soft top was professionally cleaned and protected prior to the correction process and continues to repel water beautifully.

The rich metallic finish on this AMG absolutely comes alive under proper lighting, and the depth and gloss are even more impressive in person.

After a full decontamination, soft top cleaning and protection, 3-stage paint correction, rims-off service, ceramic coating of the wheels and calipers, exterior glass protection, and countless hours of preparation, this beautiful AMG has now received a GlossTech Pro-Series Signature 6 Year Ceramic Coating with a transferable warranty.

The depth, gloss, clarity, and metallic pop in this blue paint is absolutely incredible. 💙

As we always say, ceramic coating performance starts long before the coating bottle is opened. Proper paint correction and preparation are what create results that last.

Good Morning! ☕️

We fell a few hours behind schedule yesterday, but the good news is the hard part is now behind us!

All three stages of paint correction have been completed on this beautiful Mercedes E53 AMG Cabriolet. The vehicle has been unmasked, inspected, and is now ready for the final steps before protection.

Today we’ll be carrying out our pre-ceramic coating preparation before installing GlossTech Ceramic Coatings on:

✅ Paintwork
✅ Exterior plastics & trim
✅ All exterior glass
✅ Wheels & brake calipers

The soft top was already professionally cleaned and protected prior to paint correction, allowing it time to fully cure before the polishing process began.

This is exactly what proper fabric top protection should look like — tight, uniform water beading and excellent repellency.

Now it’s time to lock in all of that paint correction work and bring out the incredible depth, gloss, and metallic pop in this stunning blue finish 😎

It’s a busy Tuesday here at Scott’s Custom Auto Spa & Ceramic Coatings! 🔥

Today we will be finishing up the super heavy cutting stage on this beautiful Mercedes E53 AMG Cabriolet.

And I have to say… that’s some pretty sweet rotary polisher work right there 😎

The first stage of correction has dramatically improved the finish, removing defects, swirls, and imperfections while restoring clarity to the paint. Two more polishing stages remain before we lock all that hard work in with a GlossTech 6 Year Ceramic Coating.

This is where the depth, gloss, and clarity really start to come alive under our professional paint inspection lighting 👀

Also completed today was the annual ceramic coating inspection, maintenance service, and detailing on a Ford Escape Hybrid that we ceramic coated approximately 3 years ago.

It’s always rewarding to see properly maintained ceramic coated vehicles return year after year still looking fantastic and performing the way they should 💦🔥
