🇨🇦 Happy Labour Day Weekend! 🇨🇦

That’s a wrap on another busy week here at Scott’s! We’ll be closed for most of the long weekend, taking a little time to recharge before our next paint correction and ceramic coating arrives later in the weekend — a Toyota RAV4 is next on the list! 🔨✨

Today brought a bit of a surprise too! A walk-in customer on the Friday of a long weekend ended up booking three different jobs with us, spread over the next month and a half. Definitely wasn’t expecting that today! 😂 We certainly appreciate the continued trust and everyone planning ahead with us. 🙏

There are also a few other things finally starting to come together behind the scenes that have been sitting on the back burner for quite some time — some for more than a couple of years! 👀 We’ll share more about those when the time is right.

Our beautiful 2026 RAM 1500 Laramie in Forged Blue Metallic also headed home this afternoon after its 2-stage paint correction and GlossTech Pro-Series Signature 6-Year Ceramic Coating. 💎🔥

We have one more RAM 1500 coming in a few weeks, but first we have several previously booked rides to work our way through.

💎 2026 RAM 1500 Laramie — Forged Blue Metallic! 🔥

This one is officially finished, and Forged Blue Metallic might be one of our favourite RAM colours yet! 😎

This brand-new 2026 RAM 1500 Laramie came to us for the complete paint-correction and ceramic-protection treatment.

The Forged Blue Metallic paint is impressive on its own, but paired with the Black Metallic grille and door handles, there’s a ton of metallic hiding throughout this truck. Under the right lighting, the colour absolutely comes alive. ✨

We started with a complete paint decontamination, inspection and paint-thickness measurements before extensively masking the plastic, rubber trim and sensitive areas.

Then it was time to get to work:

🔨 2-stage paint correction to enhance the clarity, depth and gloss of the finish
🛡️ GlossTech Pro-Series Signature 6-Year Ceramic Coating on the exterior paint

🔥 Tuesday is in the books!

Another busy one around the shop today with a little bit of everything on the go! 😎

Our 2026 RAM 1500 Laramie in Forged Blue Metallic continued through the paint-correction process today. We’re getting close now — just one polishing round remaining before we move on to the next stages. 💎

This colour continues to impress us! As the correction and refining stages progress, we’re pulling even more clarity, depth and gloss out of that incredible metallic finish. ✨

We also welcomed back a familiar Buick Envision that we ceramic coated approximately 1½ years ago. It was in for a thorough decontamination wash following its annual undercoating — an important part of keeping contamination from building up on the coated surfaces and maintaining them properly.

And while all that was happening, we had a Ford F-150 in for a complete interior detailing. 🧽✨

Paint correction, ceramic coating maintenance and interior detailing — a good mix for a Tuesday!

Tomorrow we’ll be back at the RAM and getting that Forged Blue Metallic one step closer to ceramic coating. 🔨🔥

🔨 Monday I guess it is! 😊

Every once in a while, the manufacturers come up with a paint colour that gives you a WOW moment — and this Forged Blue Metallic on the 2026 RAM 1500 Laramie is definitely one of them! 🔥

With our paint inspection and thickness measurements completed, we’ve finished the extensive masking of the plastic, rubber trim, emblems and other areas that need protection during machine polishing.

Now the paint correction and enhancement process is underway!

And you know where we start…

Rotary first — hammer down! 🔨😎

After testing our pad and compound combinations, we’ve got our cutting stage dialled in and we’re working our way around this big RAM — refining the finish, addressing the imperfections and bringing out everything this incredible metallic paint has to offer.

The close-up under our inspection lighting really shows just how much metallic is packed into this colour. 🤯 In regular lighting it looks dark and almost understated, but get the right light on it and Forged Blue Metallic absolutely explodes! ✨

Proper paint correction isn’t always about chasing severe defects. It’s also about enhancing clarity, depth and gloss and properly preparing the surface before ceramic coating.

And this colour is going to be something else when we’re finished with it. 💎🔥

🌧️ Soggy Sunday! Enough with the rain already! 😂

We’re in the shop today and underway on the next one — this beautiful 2026 RAM 1500 Laramie in Forged Blue Metallic! 🔥

At only 7–8 weeks old with approximately 3,200 km, this truck is basically brand new. It came to us through a referral from the owner of the Trail Boss we completed earlier this spring — we certainly appreciate our clients continuing to send their friends and family our way! 🙏

Today’s first steps are complete:

💦 Full paint decontamination process
🔍 Paint inspected under our professional inspection lighting
📏 Paint thickness measurements taken throughout the truck
🟨 Now we’re into masking all the plastic and rubber trim before the paint correction begins

And apparently RAM is still laying the paint on! 😂

Our readings across the truck came in at:

📏 Average: 7.928 mils
📏 Minimum: 6.260 mils
📏 Maximum: 9.724 mils

Taking these measurements before correction gives us important information about what we’re working with before a machine ever touches the paint.

Next up — finish the masking and then it’s time to start bringing that Forged Blue Metallic to life! 💎

Fantastic Friday at Scott’s! 😎🔥

One RAM 1500 headed home this afternoon looking a whole lot different than when it arrived! 💎

The beautiful 2026 RAM 1500 Tungsten is finished after receiving the works — multi-stage paint correction, GlossTech Pro-Series Signature 6-Year Ceramic Coating, rims-off ceramic protection, exterior glass & mirrors, tonneau cover and running boards. 🛞✨

And apparently we’re not done with RAMs yet! 😂

The next RAM 1500 arrives tomorrow for its turn on the hoist and another round of ceramic coating work here at Scott’s.

We also had a familiar face drop in this afternoon — the beautiful C6 Grand Sport Corvette we recently completed! ❤️🔥

Seeing this one outside in the sunshine really shows what all that correction work accomplished. That tinted clear paint gave us a workout, starting with the rotary and lambswool before moving through the refining stages — but just look at that metallic red now! ☀️✨

Always great when clients stop back in with their rides, especially when we get a chance to see them out in the natural light.

One RAM out, another RAM coming in, and a Grand Sport stopping by to say hello — not a bad way to finish off Friday! 😎

💥 THE FULL MONTY is complete on this 2026 RAM 1500 Tungsten! 💥

This beautiful Bright White Tungsten came in for the works — and after the paint correction was completed, it was time to protect just about everything we could! 😎

We started with a full decontamination, paint inspection and paint thickness measurements before moving into the multi-stage paint correction. And as we showed earlier, white paint absolutely does show swirls and defects — you just need the right inspection lights, colour temperature and experience to find them. 🔍

Once the correction was complete, this RAM received our GlossTech Pro-Series Signature 6-Year Ceramic Coating, installed in our climate-controlled shop and left indoors for its initial cure.

But we weren’t stopping at the paint!

🔥 THE FULL MONTY included:
• Multi-stage paint correction
• GlossTech Pro-Series Signature 6-Year Ceramic Coating
• Rims-off ceramic service — wheels removed so we can properly clean and protect them
• Glass & exterior mirrors ceramic coated
• Tonneau cover cleaned & protected

And under the hood sits the Hurricane High Output 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six pumping out 540 HP — one seriously impressive truck!

💥 Paint Correction COMPLETE on the 2026 RAM 1500 Tungsten! 💥

Tomorrow is ceramic coating day for this beautiful Bright White RAM Tungsten! 😎

And yes… you absolutely CAN see swirls and paint defects on white paint! You just need the right inspection lighting, the right colour temperature/hue, and you need to know what you’re looking for. 🔍

The close-up photos tell the story. Under normal shop lighting, white paint can look nearly perfect. Put it under our dedicated paint inspection lights and suddenly the swirls, scratches and defects jump right out at you.

That is exactly why proper lighting is such an important part of professional paint correction. You can’t properly correct defects you can’t see!

After a complete decontamination, paint inspection, paint thickness measurements — with this RAM showing some whopping 15+ mil readings in areas — masking and multi-stage correction, the paintwork is now finished and ready for the next step. 👌

Tomorrow this RAM gets the rest of the Full Monty treatment:

✨ Ceramic protection for the exterior glass

Terrific Tuesday! 🔥 Busy inside Scott’s Custom Auto Spa!

We are now well underway with the paint correction on this Bright White 2026 RAM 1500 Tungsten, powered by the Hurricane High Output 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six producing 540 HP! 💪

Under our paint inspection lighting, we’re finding exactly what we expect to find — factory swirls, scratches and imperfections that simply aren’t visible under normal lighting. Even on white paint, the proper lighting tells the story!

And WOW… Mopar is still stacking the paint! 😂 Our paint thickness gauge is showing readings over 15 mils in areas. Paint thickness measurements are an important part of our correction process because they help us understand exactly what we’re working with before and during correction.

This RAM is getting the Full Monty:

And while the RAM is underway, we had another familiar face back in the shop — this beautiful Mercedes-Benz S400.

We originally ceramic coated this Mercedes 5 years ago, and it has returned to us annually for its ceramic coating maintenance and detailing. It arrived in the rain yesterday, and the water behaviour told the story before it even came through the door — still beading beautifully five years later! 💦

After its annual ceramic deep cleaning and maintenance, along with another complete interior detail, this S400 is ready to hit the road again. And just look at that light-coloured interior! 👌

This is why we talk so much about the complete process: proper paint preparation, professional installation, high-quality ceramic coatings and ongoing maintenance.

But probably the part we’re most proud of? Repeat clients and referrals.

We’ve now worked on 6 vehicles for the family/business that owns this RAM, including their last three ceramic coating installations. And immediately after this truck, #2 of 3 currently booked vehicles is coming through the doors — another referral. ❤️

This beautiful RAM 1500 Tungsten isn’t our first vehicle for this family/business — over the years we’ve worked on 6 of their vehicles, with the last 3 receiving ceramic coatings here at the shop, including a beautiful pearl white F-150 more recently.
