Ontario’s multi-billion-dollar refurbishment program will extend the operating life of four CANDU reactors, with major construction contracts already awarded.
The ex*****on phase contract for the first Pickering unit refurbishment is an important milestone in the broader program,” AtkinsRéalis said in announcing the contract.
The refurbishment represents a significant long-term opportunity for Ontario’s construction and skilled-trades sectors. Provincial estimates indicate the project will support approximately 30,500 jobs annually during construction and about 7,500 jobs across Canada over its lifespan. More than 90 per cent of project spending is expected to remain in Ontario and Canada, with the project also expected to contribute $41.6 billion to Canadian GDP over its lifespan.

I booked in one of our employees to complete his DZ license with OTDS, as neither myself or the employee had gone through the process before. The team at OTDS could not have been more helpful! From booking to training, they were professional, warm, and knowledgeable. My employee was trained by Dale, and he said that she was really great and would highly recommend anyone to be trained here, by her! Thanks, OTDS!

I can’t recommend OTDS Truck Driving School enough! A huge shoutout to Joe for being an incredible instructor. He was knowledgeable, patient, and straight to the point, which made learning everything so much easier.

Joe did a great job of teaching not just what I needed to know to pass, but how to actually be a safe and confident driver. He explained everything clearly, corrected my mistakes, and made sure I understood what I was doing before moving on.

Thanks to the training and preparation I received at OTDS, I passed everything on my first try and received my DZ license! That says a lot about the quality of instruction they provide.

If you’re looking to get your DZ and want an instructor who genuinely knows his stuff and will prepare you properly, I highly recommend Joe and OTDS Truck Driving School in Brantford.

I took both, the Air Brake Endorsement and Class D full auto courses here. You get a LOT of information in a short period. But the instructors were awesome! Giving personal experience examples of why certain information is crucial to KNOW. This made it much easier to remember the important parts.
I highly recommend using them if you're looking to start a career in trucking.
