Planning to come check out the races as a spectator this Saturday, Aug 24th?🤔 Here is some quick facts and answers to commonly asked questions!
⭐️Gates for spectators open at 10am. Heads up time trials is scheduled to start at APROX 10am. Bracket racing starts at APROX 1pm. (3 classes).
If time permits heads up grudge racing is a possibility.
⭐️Everyone is welcome! $10ea admission... 12 & under are FREE! Cash only at the gate.
⭐️How do I get in and where do I park? Lots of signage will be placed! Once you turn east onto the airport road simply follow the signs. Public parking will be in the far east open grassy area.
⭐️Expect to see a variety of different vehicles racing such as full out race cars, modern muscle, daily drivers, diesels, bikes etc.
⭐️Bleacher seating will be available for spectators. Seating space may be limited depending on attendance... pack a lawn chair or two in your vehicle just in case.
⭐️Pit area will be 100% open to the public so YOU can check out all the race cars, talk to drivers etc!
⭐️Food trucks will be on sight to satisfy your hunger!
⭐️An ATM will be on location in the pit/spectator area.
⭐️Vehicle info, drivers name etc will be announced over a PA system during staging, and each lane’s e.t. etc. after each run.
⭐️Is alcohol available? No.... Sorry! Due to airport regulations this is a 100% dry event.
⭐️This is a grassroots, first time event! Expect some delays and learning curves from the amateur racers and organizing committee. The key is for everyone to have fun and grow the sport of drag racing in Bonnyville!
⭐️Can I leave and come back? Yes.... as long you keep your admission wrist band on.
⭐️Unfortunately the planned return/taxi lane will not be ready/constructed in time for our 2019 events. After each run both vehicles will slow down, turn around and head back while the next two vehicles begin staging/preparing for there run. Return lane will be ready for 2020.
