Amanda Carswell – General Manager, Stratford ON, 1.5 years of service
Today, we’re featuring Amanda, whose entry into the aftermarket industry reflects dedication, passion, and growth.
"I officially started in the automotive parts industry in 2023, but it feels like I’ve been part of it my whole life. My family has deep roots in parts and machinery — my great uncle ran a farm dealership, and my dad started at a young age helping out — so stepping into this field came naturally."
"Over 20 years ago, I was part of the early wave of women entering retail leadership. At the time, there was only one female Store Manager in southern Ontario where I worked, and she set the example for women like me to follow."
"When I told my dad I wanted to work in parts, he didn’t hesitate — he knew I’d excel. Coming into automotive now feels full circle, like returning to something that’s always been part of my life."
"As I developed in my role, I recognized my potential and wanted more responsibility. That led me to apply for a General Manager position, and I’m grateful Carquest saw that potential and gave me the opportunity. Since then, I’ve continued building my skills, expanding my automotive knowledge, and leading my store with pride."
"Working in a rural community has shown me the value of long-term customer relationships. When customers see you’re reliable and willing to go the extra mile, you earn meaningful trust — something I truly appreciate."
"At the end of 2025, I received an Executive Recognition Award, which meant a lot as acknowledgment of the work I put into driving results and keeping the store moving forward."
"What I love most about Carquest is the people — the support, teamwork, and focus on growth. I’ve had team members join with little to no parts experience and helping them build confidence and knowledge has been incredibly rewarding. Talent can be hard to find, but when you invest in people, they rise. I’m grateful to be part of a team that encourages development and initiative."
