Burning the midnight oil on this one. After a long day of in tank pump modifications, pressure regulator settings and test runs of the coyote engine… a quick bit of old school spannering to close out the day… Both sides stripped… parts on their way. Think I know what I am doing Sunday!!

Holiday weekend…. Doesn’t stop CAA visiting at 10pm. Quick holiday Monday tear down to get a parts order ready. Both sides in desperate need of repair. An easy job with some nice technical aspects to keep the engineer in me satisfied.

Gotta love a 90 that’s been “improved” by its previous owner in Eastern Europe. No end of wiring dramas has plagued this car over the last few years. But as winter approaches… he’d like his heated rear screen! Not quite so simple!!!

Another td5 ECU with topside switch failure. Ever so common on these early ECU’s. New ECU needed… but we’ve got just the solution.

The VCV on a tdci is a weak point. Often diagnosed by rough running or cutting out at higher revs amongst others. Quite a pig to get to and requires some recalibration once done. But this one is done and back on the road…

Good old Ford…. Switch manifold patterns on one side only on the Gen 4! Just makes another afternoon of fun on the milling machine… full stainless exhaust coming soon…
