Reflecting on an incredible First in Class victory at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance for this 1938 Delahaye 165 Cabriolet by Figoni et Falaschi.

This has been one of the most remarkable projects our restoration team has had the privilege of undertaking. Originally created as a Paris show car, this Delahaye represents some of Figoni et Falaschi’s most dramatic coachwork and is one of only a very small number of Delahayes powered by the marque’s V12.

Seeing it return to the lawn at Pebble Beach and leave with a First in Class award was an incredibly rewarding conclusion to the restoration.

Our sincere thanks to The Pearl Collection for entrusting us with the restoration and preservation of such an important automobile.

A pair of First in Class finishes at Pebble Beach.

Our 1938 Delahaye 165 Cabriolet by Figoni et Falaschi and 1934 Packard 1108 Twelve Individual Custom Convertible Roadster by Dietrich each earned top honours in their respective classes at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

A proud day for the entire RM Auto Restoration team, and a fitting result for two exceptional restorations.

It was an early morning for our restoration team as we finally unveiled a few of the projects we’ve quietly been working on:

1938 Delahaye 165 Cabriolet by Figoni et Falaschi

1934 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Lungo Spider by Eagle Coach Works

1934 Packard 1108 Custom Convertible Victoria by Dietrich

A fitting way to start the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance as we lead into Sunday’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Months and years of work have gone into bringing these three cars to this point, and we can’t wait to see how they fare on the lawn.

Back to form.

This 1926 Bugatti Type 35A Grand Prix is now properly sorted, with upgrades from the starter through to the brakes and tires, with the racing numbers hand painted back on as they would have been.

No vinyl here. The racing numbers are being hand-painted the traditional way, staying true to the period-correct techniques used to originally build this Bugatti Type 35A Grand Prix.

After nearly two years of meticulous work, the RM Auto Restoration team is proud to present the fully restored 1924 Hispano-Suiza H6C “Tulipwood” Torpedo by Nieuport-Astra on the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance today. This car is one of the most celebrated in motoring history, and bringing it back to its original brilliance has been an honour for everyone involved.

Restoring a car of this caliber is about more than precision — it’s about preserving its story and ensuring every detail reflects the spirit of its creation. From the flowing wooden coachwork to the engineering beneath, every element has been brought back with the same uncompromising standards that have guided our work from the beginning.

Seeing the Tulipwood back on the road where it belongs is a moment we’ll always remember. It is a living piece of history, restored to inspire for generations to come.
