With great difficulty yet extreme excitement, I would like to announce that I have decided to step away from the trade for a bit, & will also be listing Impact Automotive Services for sale. The reasons that have lead to this decision are difficult to verbalize or put down in words sometimes, and I am also fairly confident that some people may not fully understand, but I will make a solid attempt at providing an explanation regardless.
It has been about 23 solid years now that I have been active in the automotive trade/industry, and of that, the past 11 years has been operating my own business. Iʼve reached a point where I want to step away from the trade for a bit and focus on a few courses/some training that is unrelated to the automotive industry, but will benefit me more on the personal side of things. Also, I would be lying if I said I didnʼt have a growing interest in trying something that was completely different than automotive repair. I canʼt confidently say at this point if I will eventually return to the trade full time or not. As I mentioned above, it has been a very difficult decision for me to make! Originally I considered another long term “shut-down” in which I would return immediately after (as we did in 2017), but I think the smarter decision would be to try and find someone else to carry on operating the business. With this scenario, it will allow the shop to remain open to serve the community, and the amazing customer base we currently have.
Impact Automotive has always been super busy since the day we opened it in 2008. We have worked extremely hard to provide the best service possible & build great relationships with all of our amazing customers. It truly would be unfortunate to have to close the doors again - even if it was temporary. Of course there are other facilities in town that are quite capable of absorbing the additional work load, but from an opportunist/entrepreneurial perspective, this also opens up a door for another individual to step in & capitalize on the many inherent benefits of self employment & small business ownership. As it stands right now, in the event the business does not change hands - I will be closing the tail end of January 2020. I do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause some people and I do hope you can find a place of understanding. Moving forward, if you happen to know a person/people that may be interested in this endeavour please pass along the information and have them contact me directly.
Thanks again for taking the time to read this & have a great night...
