For the past 13 years, Belmont Storage has been perfecting the art of saying:

Well... someday has arrived. 😂
These are NOT lien auctions. Nobody stopped paying their rent. These are simply years of accumulated treasures, leftovers, useful stuff, questionable stuff, and things we were absolutely convinced would be useful one day.

📦 Unit 1224 – Trash Kings Edition
Ever wonder what a junk removal company keeps instead of throws away? This is your chance to find out. Lots of reusable and resellable items that were just too good for the dump.
🔧 Unit 261692 – Ductwork & Tables
Need ductwork? Need tables? Need 5' x 8' plastic tables with a 1.5" lip and drain? Oddly specific... but today might be your lucky day!
🪚 Unit 1202 – Belmont's "We Might Need That" Collection
Items from our tool rooms and material rooms accumulated over 13 years. Includes a decent table saw and a variety of tools, materials and useful surprises.
🕵️ Unit 1511B – The Island of Misfit Treasures
This one is made up of items from a previous lien auction that received exactly zero bids. We've since added office chairs, cameras from our old security system, items left behind over the years, a decent desk, and yes... an antique gun.
Will there be gold bars?
No.
Hidden cash?
Probably not.
A winning lottery ticket?
Definitely not.
Some genuinely useful stuff at bargain prices?
Absolutely.
Our goal is simple: keep good items out of the landfill and get them into the hands of someone who can use them, fix them, sell them, or convince their spouse they "needed" them. 😆

📻 Belmont Storage Takes Over the Airwaves! 🎙️

Today we headed into the studio at 98.1 FM to record our new Belmont Storage radio commercial… and being a family business, we figured we might as well bring the whole family. 😂

🎤 Susannah handled the voice recording.
👧 Aubrey was her assistant (and occasional studio supervisor).
👶 Benjamin was there to keep everyone on schedule.
❤️ Eva handled grandparent duties.
📸 And I was the photographer, which was probably the safest role for everyone involved. 😅

The commercial turned out amazing! In fact, after hearing her in the studio, I think Susannah might have a future in radio. She sounded like a natural behind the microphone. 🎙️✨

What made the day special wasn’t just recording a commercial—it was seeing three generations together, working on something we’re building as a family. That’s what Belmont Storage has always been about.

A huge thank you to Jake McKenzie and the entire team at 98.1 FM. They were incredibly patient with our crew, welcomed the kids, showed Aubrey around the studio, and made the experience memorable for all of us.

From a small idea 13 years ago to three generations in a radio studio today—it’s moments like these that remind me that businesses are built with hard work, but they’re made meaningful by the people you share them with.

Now the only question is… when Susannah becomes a famous radio personality, will she still answer the phones at Belmont Storage? 😆

📍 Belmont Storage Daily Update

Today’s accomplishments included:

✅ Website updates
✅ Meeting with contractors about the future stair project
✅ Helping one of our tenants out with a set of steps for their unit
✅ And most importantly…

🌱 THREE BUCKETS OF WEEDS LATER… 🌱

We can officially confirm that the w**ds were putting up a stronger fight than expected.

At one point we weren’t sure if we were maintaining a storage facility or auditioning for a gardening show. 😂

Between pulling w**ds, climbing roofs, updating the website, meeting contractors, and moving things around, we’re starting to realize that running a storage facility somehow requires to skills of a landscaper, contractor, website designer, plumber, and part-time detective.

The exciting part? The vision keeps coming together.

Every w**d pulled, every improvement completed, and every project planned gets us one step closer to the Belmont Storage we’re building for our customers.

Today’s update from Belmont Storage:

We cleaned out more storage units and got them ready for new customers. Which sounds simple until you realize every unit seems to contain at least one mystery item that nobody remembers owning.

We also completed some roof inspections, which gave us a fantastic view of the yard. After extensive research from the rooftop, we can confirm that yes… there are still a lot of containers down there.

Speaking of containers, another one headed off to its new home today. At this rate, the containers are moving out faster than some teenagers after high school. 🚛💨

As we continue selling older units and bringing in newer ones, the yard is getting a major refresh. It’s a bit like home renovation shows, except instead of replacing kitchen cabinets, we’re moving around giant steel boxes that weigh thousands of pounds.

The good news? More storage units are now cleaned, available, and ready for rent.

The bad news? The containers keep refusing to move themselves, so we’ll be back at it again tomorrow.

🚧 Concrete Contractor Wanted – Belmont Storage 🚧

We’re looking for a skilled concrete contractor to help us build a new front entrance at Belmont Storage.

We’re aiming for something similar to the photo below:

🚨 FREE WOOD UPDATE 🚨

Well... that didn't take long. 😄

Yesterday we posted a pile of free wood and pallets that we had cleaned out. We figured someone might want it.

What we didn't expect was for someone to show up with a vision.

Meet Jessica, a fellow Belmont resident who saw a pile of wood and immediately started planning her next projects. One of those projects? Helping create a community library right here in Belmont. 📚

Meanwhile, we were looking at the pile wondering how many trips to the dump it would take. 😂

This is one of the things we love most about small-town communities. What one person sees as leftovers, another sees as opportunity.

A big thank you to Jessica for giving these materials a second life and helping keep useful materials out of the landfill.

🤓📦 The Things People Store…

People store all kinds of things at Belmont Storage.

Furniture. Tools. Business inventory. Family keepsakes.

Today, I almost added my glasses to the list.

While painting the floor in one of our newest 10x10 storage units, my glasses decided to jump off my head and take a dive straight into a bucket of fresh paint. Apparently they were trying to reserve their own storage space before the unit hit the market.

Thankfully, a successful rescue mission was launched, and the glasses were recovered before becoming a permanent fixture of the renovation.

The floor got painted.
The unit is almost ready to rent.
And my glasses have been informed that paint buckets are not an approved storage option.

Current status of the Belmont Storage tool room: “organized chaos.”

If anyone’s wondering where all the missing brooms, hoses, shovels, random fittings, mystery hardware, and tools from the last 15 years went… we found them.

We’re currently cleaning out and reorganizing our tool room as we work on making more space available at Belmont Storage. It’s a big job, but we’re doing our best to turn the chaos into opportunity.

Sometimes progress looks polished… and sometimes it looks like this photo.

One thing’s for sure — behind every clean, organized facility is at least one room that looks like a hardware store exploded. 😂
