🦸‍♂️ SUPERHERO STATUS: CURRENTLY SWAMPED 🦸‍♂️🐕‍🦺

Apparently superheroes are supposed to save the whole damn city at once… turns out Ghost and I haven’t quite unlocked that power yet. 😂

With the amount of calls, messages, recoveries, towing, equipment work, and general chaos coming our way right now, McEwan’s Towing is absolutely flat-out.

So if you’ve called, texted, messaged the page, or are waiting to hear back from me I’m not ignoring you. I promise. There are just more people needing us right now than there are hours in the day.

We’re working through everything as quickly as we safely can, prioritizing emergencies and people who need immediate help.

Please be patient with us. We WILL get to you ASAP.

☀️🚨 SOLAR NEIL SAVES THE DAY 🚨☀️

Some guys install solar panels.

Some guys do emergency recoveries.

Neil apparently looked at both and said, “Yeah, I can do that.” 😂

CTV caught up with us about the absolute mess this storm created across Eastern Nova Scotia /Cape Breton .

Roads washed out, water everywhere, people hydroplaning, vehicles stranded, and our crews trying to figure out which roads were actually still underneath the water.

And who does CTV put on camera?

SOLAR NEIL. 🎤😂

Neil normally spends his days working in solar power, but in his spare time he helps us out on recoveries when things get ugly.

So naturally, when Cape Breton starts washing into the Atlantic,
Neil trades the solar panels for recovery gear and somehow ends up on national television reading the script. 😂

In all seriousness, Neil and the rest of the crew put in a hell of an effort through some pretty nasty conditions. Roads were washed out, routes were blocked, and getting to some of these calls was half the battle.

But apparently none of that matters now.

Neil is famous.

We’re just supporting characters in the Solar Neil Cinematic Universe. ☀️😂

And this isn’t over when the rain stops.

With the amount of water that has hit the province, the ground is saturated.

As cleanup and rebuilding gets underway, there are going to be dump trucks, equipment and service vehicles finding out exactly how soft “looks pretty solid” really is. 😂

If you can use tools without asking which end of the hammer to hold, we're already off to a great start.

🚛 TOW TRUCK OPERATORS
Light, heavy, recovery if you can operate equipment, think for yourself, and show up when the phone rings, we want to hear from you.

🚜 EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
Excavators, dozers, skid steers, graders and whatever other piece of yellow iron we decide we absolutely needed to buy this week.

What we're looking for:

• Show up when you say you're going to show up. Revolutionary concept, apparently.

• Know how to work without someone standing behind you clapping.

• Be mechanically inclined.
• Have common sense. Actual common sense.

• Don't be scared of dirt, grease, weather or a long day.

• A driver's licence is pretty damn helpful.

• Experience is an asset. A good attitude and willingness to learn go a long way too.

We have real work, real equipment and lots of variety. One day you might be running an excavator, the next helping with a recovery, working around the shop, moving equipment, or wondering how the hell you got talked into whatever we're doing that day. 😂

ALRIGHT… YOU GUYS PICK THE NEXT BUILD. 👀

We’ve got two bad ideas, enough parts laying around to make at least one of them happen, and apparently nobody around here knows when to leave well enough alone. 😂

Option #1 THE OFF-ROAD WRECKER
40-ton NRC recovery unit, big flotation tires, 6x6, built for the places where a normal tow truck looks at the road and says “absolutely f**kin’ not.”

Option #2 THE OFF-ROAD FLAT DECK
Same nasty 6x6 setup, but with a 40-ton heavy side puller + NRC 40TB tilt deck. Something that can crawl into the backcountry, recover equipment sideways, winch it aboard, and haul it back out.

We intend on building BOTH.

The question is…

WHICH ONE DO WE BUILD FIRST?

⚠️ POSSIBLY FOR SALE… because apparently we can’t have nice things around here. ⚠️

2023 Peterbilt 389 550,000 km, so basically just finished the break-in period. 😂

18-speed, big sleeper, long hood, tall stacks, polished wheels, red paint and enough chrome to interfere with low-flying aircraft.

I made the mistake of getting Morgan to polish it.

Now it doesn’t fit in.

Everything else in our yard is covered in mud, grease, hydraulic oil, missing a panel, waiting for parts, or parked somewhere it probably shouldn’t be.

Meanwhile this bastard is sitting there looking like it’s waiting for a trophy. 🏆😂

So I parked it right down by the highway. If I’m going to own something this unnecessarily shiny, everybody driving by is going to have to look at it too.

I’m not saying it’s for sale…

But I’m definitely not saying it isn’t. 👀💰
