Airdrie auto parts & recycling is a family owned and operated automotive recycling business; our quality and service is of utmost precedence; we are a member of the Automotive Recyclers Association and pride ourselves on the quality of our automotive parts and exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a driven and knowledgeable Mechanic to join our successful team at our Airdrie location.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, as a Mechanic you will be expected to work Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 17h00. You will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance work on vehicles, following all Airdrie Auto Parts & Recycling policies and procedures to ensure compliance with our environmental standards
What are we looking for in you?
You must be self-disciplined, goal-oriented, able to manage your time effectively and work independently with little to no supervision.
You must have a high mechanical aptitude and prior mechanical experience, Duties and Responsibilities·
Efficiently and effectively inspect vehicles of all makes and models in a safe and timely manner, recognize parts that are damaged or broken, perform high-level testing and quality control measures on all parts prior to stocking and re-stocking. Properly prepare parts for inventory and storage prior to resale, recycle all components of vehicle based on above average industry standards.
Create and maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with Occupational Health and Safety standards and requirements.
(Qualifications and Requirements):
You must have experience in the automotive industry, working with automotive tools and equipment.
Previous experience working within the automotive recycling industry is considered an asset.
A High School Diploma and any additional licenses and qualifications will be considered an asset.
You must be able to safely lift up to 23kg (50lbs).
Youn must be able to perform a compression
Test on engines for the new arrival vehicles.
You must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check.
You must have your own transportation to work.
You must have your own complete set of tools.
