to 1966 — when the first Bronco rolled off the line and changed what a Ford SUV could be. Fast forward to summertime, and we’re still chasing that same spirit.

Summertime is Bronco time. ☀️

After filming 5 episodes of Honest Rides with this Ford Bronco Outer Banks Sasquatch, here’s what actually matters:

CAPLESS FUEL SYSTEM — Ford’s Easy Fuel system. No cap to lose, no threads to cross. Just plug and go. (Standard since 2008, but still feels futuristic.)

THOSE LIGHTS — The round headlights and signature grille aren’t just aesthetic. They’re a direct callback to the original 1966 Bronco. Ford knew what they were doing making this instantly recognizable.

BUILT FOR CUSTOMIZATION — Factory roof rack channels, front auxiliary light hookups, modular everything. This isn’t a vehicle, it’s a platform. The Sasquatch package gives you 35” tires on beadlock-capable wheels.

THE SIDE RAILS DEBATE — Some hardcore crawlers remove them for clearance. But those rails protect your doors and carry 350lb load capacity. Unless you’re doing Moab-level rock crawling, keep them.

REAR STORAGE GAME — 12V power in the cargo area, fold-flat seats (you can remove them entirely), bottom-opening tailgate so you can sit on it at camp. Ford thought about actual use cases.

SPARE TIRE PLACEMENT — Rear-mounted on the swing gate like the originals. Keeps your cargo clear, keeps that classic profile.

Five episodes of driving and documenting taught us this — not specs from a brochure. Real features that matter.

Specials and accessories coming soon — details pending. Stay tuned. 👀

Thanks to for trusting us with Honest Rides. Supporting with every episode.

A future Ford EV truck is worth watching in the Fraser Valley.

Ford’s From The Road Canada site says the company’s EV development center is working toward a midsize electric truck planned for next year. For Abbotsford and Mission drivers, that is interesting because a smaller electric truck could fit commuting, home charging, light hauling, and outdoor weekends better than some shoppers expect.

Talk to MSA Ford if you want practical Ford EV insights without the hype.

Bunny ears or not — let's settle this. 🐰
Des took a hard look at the Mach-E's lights (inside and out) and… let's just say Tesla might want to take notes. 👀
Drop your verdict in the comments. Whose lights actually win?

POV: your first time trying one-pedal driving 😂 You panic. It feels like a bumper car. Then it clicks — and you never want to go back.

Here’s the magic: lift off the accelerator and the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E slows itself down using regenerative braking. The electric motor does the work instead of your brake pads — which means way less brake wear, longer brake life, and a car that basically takes care of itself. One pedal. Smoother drive. Fewer trips to the shop. That’s the EV life.

This is what we mean by “use the vehicle to the best of its abilities” — and it’s one of our favourite moments from this Honest Ride here in the Fraser Valley.

Drop a 🛞 if you’d make the switch to one-pedal driving. 👇

Jas has driven a semi for 23 years. But it’s the one time his brakes failed on the Coquihalla that he’ll never forget — crying on the side of the road, certain it was over, his life flashing before his eyes. He was lucky. And it changed how he drives forever.

His words stuck with all of us: “Safety is the most important thing. We have one good life on this earth — treat it right the first time.” 🙏

That’s the conversation at the heart of this Honest Ride, and it’s exactly why we love the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E — built around peace of mind, from BlueCruise hands-free driving to a cabin that keeps you calm and in control.

Respect, Jas. ❤️

Ford Escape Revival Set for Universal EV Platform

Production of the Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair ended at the Louisville Assembly plant last December, leaving a giant hole in The Blue Oval's lineup as it pertains to small crossovers. This is particularly true of the Escape, which disappeared at a time when new vehicle shoppers are increasingly looking for more affordable options, too. However, back in December 2022, a report surfaced from AutoForecast Solutions, claiming that the Ford Escape would live on as an all-electric crossover, though it has thus far remained unclear if that plan is intact ever since.

Now, MSA Ford in Abbotsford BC has confirmed that the Ford Escape will indeed be making a comeback as a compact all-electric crossover, similar in size to the outgoing model. It carries the designation U833, and is slated to enter production at the Louisville Assembly in the next 1-2 years. This will likely make the new Ford Escape EV the second vehicle to utilize Ford's new Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV) platform, following the debut of the new mid-size pickup that will also be built in Louisville starting next year.

Ford’s UEV architecture can reportedly support up to eight body styles, including SUVs, sedans, pickups, and vans. Current plans include two- and three-row SUVs, a subcompact sedan, a larger sedan, and a van, with launch timing still undisclosed.

We literally paid a guy to ditch his Tesla for 15 minutes 😅 Meet Jas — full-time Uber driver, 23 years behind a semi, and officially our hero.

We pulled up to the Tesla charging station with the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E and made him an offer: leave the Tesla, take an Honest Ride, answer 5 questions, and walk away with a $25 gift card — plus another $25 to the Abbotsford Food Bank. Jas said yes, aced every single question, and reminded all of us to tip our Uber drivers. 🙌
