🚛 5 Things to Check Before Towing a Trailer
Before you hit the road, take a few minutes to ensure your trailer is safe and ready to go. A quick inspection can prevent accidents, breakdowns, and costly delays.
1️⃣ Check the Hitch Connection
Make sure the trailer coupling is properly secured to the tow ball and locked in place. Double-check that the safety pin or locking mechanism is engaged.
✅ Tug-test the connection before driving.
2️⃣ Inspect Tyres and Wheel Nuts
Check tyre pressure on both the towing vehicle and trailer. Look for signs of wear, cracks, or damage, and ensure wheel nuts are tight.
✅ Properly inflated tyres improve safety and fuel efficiency.
3️⃣ Test All Lights
Confirm that brake lights, indicators, tail lights, and hazard lights are working correctly.

4️⃣ Secure the Load
