Davide Tardozzi believes MotoGP has struggled to maintain its popularity in Italy since the retirement of Valentino Rossi in 2021. The Ducati Lenovo Team boss also pointed to the rise of pay TV broadcasting as another reason for the decline, despite recent improvements in attendance at Mugello and Misano thanks to Ducati and Aprilia’s growing success. "The fact that we no longer have Valentino Rossi is a problem. Valentino Rossi was a star, a hero even for grandmothers," said Tardozzi.
