Two days ago, we were at 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐭 & 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐦, 𝐔𝐊. Today, we are in Dresden, 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐍 2026, meeting the fire & rescue industry. 🚒

Different events, different sectors, but the same reason for being there: 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡.

Meeting customers and partners, exchanging ideas, discovering new developments and listening to the challenges professionals face in their daily work.

Because understanding the market isn't just something you do from behind a desk. Sometimes, you need to get out there!

𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦, 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐯! 👋
Last month, we welcomed Stanislav to our team in Bulgaria as our new 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭.
Stanislav brings a strong international background to PDE. He spent around 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲, as well as six months in Sweden during his studies, and speaks both German and English aside Bulgarian.
After completing his training and getting familiar with our products, customers and processes, he will focus particularly on supporting the 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭. And there's no better way to continue learning than getting out there: next week, he will be heading to Germany to meet some of our customers and partners in person. 🇩🇪
He also brings a genuine interest in the technical side of what we do. Stanislav has previously worked in the 𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲, and aviation remains one of his passions, so working with aluminium, engineering and aerodynamic design should not feel completely unfamiliar. ✈️
Outside work, he is a fan of classic cars, particularly old BMWs, Formula 1 and Ferrari, and a committed Liverpool supporter. After spending many years abroad, he now also enjoys being back in Bulgaria and having more time with his family.

𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊: 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝? 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟? 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
Over the past few weeks, we have looked at four ErgoRack configurations, but choosing the right system isn't simply a question of vehicle model.

Three factors are particularly important:

1. 𝐕𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭
High-roof applications include a rear slide as standard to keep the loading point accessible from the ground.

2. 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭
ErgoRack Rotation is recommended for ladders up to 35 kg.
ErgoRack Inclined accommodates ladders up to 55 kg, with its inclined geometry helping make the rotating movement easier.

3. 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡
The (folded) ladder must also be long enough to reach the loading position ergonomically. With shorter ladders, the lower front hook of the Rotation version can make it the more appropriate solution.

There isn't one ErgoRack configuration for every application, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝.

That's why we consider both when specifying an ErgoRack.

Fire and rescue vehicles need to carry a lot of equipment without compromising quick and safe access when it is needed.
This fire truck is equipped with the 𝐄𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐲, allowing 𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 to be lowered at the rear of the vehicle and brought within easy reach of the operator.

The system helps make better use of available roof space while reducing the need to climb onto the vehicle or manually handle heavy equipment at height.

Because the front hook of ErgoRack Inclined sits higher than on the Rotation version, the ladder needs to be long enough for this loading method to remain practical.

For a shorter ladder — including a telescopic ladder with a short folded length — ErgoRack Rotation may therefore be the more appropriate choice, even when installed on the same vehicle.

In this 3rd post of 𝑬𝒓𝒈𝒐𝑹𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔, we will explained how ErgoRack Inclined is 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, with a recommended ladder weight of up to 55 kg.

Unlike the Rotation version, the ladder is positioned at an 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 when lowered alongside the vehicle, with the front positioned higher than the rear.

☞ This geometry makes the rotating movement used to return the ladder to the roof easier, helping reduce the physical effort required from the operator.

On high-roof vehicles, the 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞 brings the rear loading point within easy reach from ground level.
