Lesotho Zuid-Afrika:
The full practical completion of the mighty Senqu Bridge, expected in the coming days in early February 2026, marks an impressive milestone as the Lesotho Highlands Water Project enters its 40th anniversary year.
Final works are nearing completion, including the installation of expansion joints and the full completion of the bridge balustrades, scheduled for this week.
The completion of the Senqu Bridge stands as one of several major milestones anticipated in 2026. As the Project progresses, the planned completion of the Mabunyaneng and Khubelu bridges in the last quarter of 2026 will proudly signal the culmination of the advance infrastructure construction phase—strengthening regional connectivity and delivering long-term infrastructure benefits.
Planning for the official bridge opening is well underway.
