Looking back on our first race as a new team,
24h Spa Francorchamps 2025. As a new team, we had no expectations beyond completing the 24-hour race. With many obstacles, trial and error, discoveries, and struggles with the resources we had, we finished our race.
The free driving was a challenge in itself. Finding a good setup and finding a place on Belgium's most beautiful circuit among no fewer than 70 Citroen C1 Cups gave our three drivers a safe, stable feeling. Qualifying was our lowest point of the weekend, finishing only 82nd overall.
This meant we had no pressure to start the race, and everyone was hopeful to give it their all and get back on the track as quickly as possible To climb, which we did with a mega start from our youngest driver .
He started 82nd and brought the car into pit lane 69th after his stint, giving everyone hope that we could make the most of it. After a fantastic relay from and , they brought the car in 53rd place out of 116 cars, but then disaster struck. During 's stint, he was hit on the right front, breaking our wheel and suspension. Thanks to our top-notch team of mechanics, we got the car back on track in less than 30 minutes, dropping back to 74th place.
We didn't give up and fought our way back onto the track. After a long night and many FCYs, we started the morning in 56th place.
Hopes are high again, and we're holding on tight
Motivated, stint after stint, we kept our distance from bad moments until, at 10:00 a.m., one of our drivers lost focus for a second and missed a gear change. The engine failed, and disaster struck again. Our spirits sank again, but our top-notch team of mechanics kept their heads high and started an engine change so we could reach the finish.
After a repair that took no less than two hours, they got the car back on track. Thanks to our top-notch mechanics, the entire team was able to reach the finish of the 24-hour race.
We finished the race in 87th place overall.
