It is with deep sorrow that we learn of the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and a historic figure in our nation’s political history. Her leadership as the country’s first female prime minister and her long service to the people of Bangladesh will be remembered with respect and gratitude. Her departure is a profound loss for the nation and all who admired her courage, resilience, and dedication to public life.

May Allah grant her eternal peace and give strength and patience to her family, loved ones, and the entire nation during this time of grief. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (Surely we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return).
